Are you talking about the gap vertically between the license plate and the hitch?
If so, that has to do with the configurator showing an EU plate (skinnier but longer plates) vs the NA ones (taller and shorter).

You do not lose the foot release when you spec the tow hook.

You have to enable under the locking without key options. Not enabled by default. Foot raises and lowers it nicely.

EU configurator says tow hitch actually costs 7km of range. Not that this really matters but could it be due to the worse aerodynamics due to the opening? Is that fully closed when no hitch is installed?

This is the tow bar hole on my Macan,....unbelievable; collects all the dirt, not to mention the possible turbulence and/or loss of efficiency over long distances,...is it possible that Porsche hasn't thought of a plug, perhaps one that can be inspected, but to close this enormous hole?....on a car 140K seems like the minimum to me..

I totally agree, in the meantime I don’t think airflow and so as dirt will go into that cavity.
it’s just amazing to deliver cars with hole which is not needed to do something …

No - mine works fine. I also think the 'hole' is ugly and not something I expect on a $100K vehicle.

I also wish there was a way to disable the rear parking sensors when I have a bike rack on the hitch. :-(

It appears that they have made improvements on newer cars. At minimum all the internal pieces that were silver have been painted black.

Great news that the newer cars seem to have the metal piece painted or cover. I had to re-spec my build when i saw the the metal part was clearly visible even at a distance.
