This is a Macan/q6 battery for reference.

We don’t know yet the tolerance in case of a dent, but pretty obvious it’s very small.
from the Macan battery picture…

this is potentially a key different - and the issues is - how resilient is GRP to underbody impacts vs. what was done for Taycan?

GRP stands for Glass Reinforced Plastic or Glass Reinforced Polymer. It is a very versatile material, which has a huge number of applications and uses. GRP is also often referred to as fibreglass (fiberglass in the US) or glass fibre composite. GRP also belongs to a larger family of products known as FRP, or Fibre Reinforced Plastics. We have compiled this in-depth guide to help you get to grips with what GRP is made of, how it is manufactured and what it can be used for.
this quote is promising for Macan…

interesting note from the Tacan forums - the next generation Taycan (2025 and later) has GRP battery cover vs. metal from Gen1 …

We‘ll see with the Audi A6 etron if GRP is resistant enough to avoid this sort of problem.
The fact that GRP avoids permanent distorsion means that there is a buffer zone corresponding To the dent tolerance at least.

With the ground clearance of the Macan/Q6, I don’t see battery “dent” as a probable issue In normal use (roads and trails), with or without GRP.

Hard Off-road driving of a car is another level of risk, personal opinion.
