[UK] Porsche Connect & My Porsche

Is anyone else having issues with Porsche Connect / My Porsche reflecting SoC and being able to send any functions to their vehicle in the UK?

My vehicle connects to an outdoor WiFi access point at home, so I do not believe this to be related to 4G connectivity issues for the Vodafone data package.

For example, current vehicle SoC is 80% but app shows pre-charge SoC.

I cannot send any pre-conditioning instructions to the vehicle, or flash indicators etc.

Think this could be a back end application/ Porsche connect issue.

I should have been a bit more thorough with my search prior to posting - but yes, exactly those issuesā€¦

Itā€™s very frustrating, I think itā€™s the 3rd time since taking delivery this has occurred.

Defeats the object of the app somewhat, and, with this ice / frost in the UK at the moment, Iā€™m cautious to open the doors without pre-condition first to melt the ice for fear of breaking a window!

Agree it's frustrating, things should work straight out the box, with them already having the second gen tacan out already šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

The more I read on this forum, the more I am glad I donā€™t need to order a replacement car just yet.

I really want the Macan, hopefully the ā€˜26 models will have all this shite fixed.

I'm glad that it is not just me!
I picked up my Macan in December and to date charged overnight on about 4 occasions. Only once did the SoC get updated on the app. Each time the car said 80%, but the app refused to update from the pre charge level until I drove off. Luckily my Andersen charger tells me how many kWhrs have been downloaded overnight, so you know that the app is wrong.
I have been able to precondition the car, and to lock/unlock although it does take a couple of attempts to contact the server (Porsche ?). I've reported this to Porsche via the app although I don't expect I'll get a reassuring response as they are probably extremely busy! Disappointing though.

Same problems with mine. Been long standing since I got the car in October. Itā€™s not as OP said to do with connectivity as still the same even on home WiFi so got to be Porsche server side.

my ICE Macan was fine with remote services so definitely something with the fancy electric models now.

I was thinking the same, taycan, taycan gen 2 and the 2nd batch of Macans, no dice still and issues persists.

I've reported this to Porsche via the app although I don't expect I'll get a reassuring response as they are probably extremely busy! Disappointing though.
Was going to ask how you report via the app but found it in the "contact and help" section - will be helpful to do both report via app and dealership if issues still persists after the fix.

My ICE Macan was also no issue! Same set up at home too, outdoor AP for the cars when they are at home.

I spoke to Porsche connect today, they advised a factory reset šŸ™„ of the PCM.

I did it, but still the same issues. Itā€™s got to be some back end / server side issue.

I have similar problems with the app; preconditioning doesn't work, the app regularly wrongly reports the location of my car and so on.

Off topic, but I have also been experiencing multiple other software issues since I took delivery in November, including a complete software meltdown the day after I got the car home, constant dropping of the connection with my phone, rendering CarPlay useless, features like the compass display randomly disappearing, Spotify data going missing and random fault notifications that then disappear. The total meltdown necessitated a week long visit to the dealer and it's due back there again in a couple of weeks time.

Coming from a Tesla (which I fortunately still have), with its excellent 100% reliable app and rock solid software, I am astounded by the frankly piss-poor quality of Porsche's software; it's amateur.

Sorry to hear about your multiple issues. I hope they get it sorted soon.
Some have been unluckier than the others. I have had no issues at all, except plug & charge greyed out.
Once all sorted, I bet you will love your Turbo better :)
