Yes,
I didn't option puddle lights, and my SA said at the time, I can get them later if I want them.
As you can see, there is already a light under the door, on all four doors. You just take them out and put these ones in. The lights came with a little screwdriver to take them out.

Its an easy DIY job. If you go to Description on that page, and scroll down, it shows you how to do it.

i can confirm all the same... I ordered them right after he put up the pic of his...all works fine. It's literally just a two wire light, and unit is clipped in with pressure. Technically no tools required

m10311 version for me

@Awaz: you ordered the M10311 and it has the connector on the side. The M10316 has it in the middle.
So today I removed the light from my door and the connector is also in the middle. So should I order the M10316 or will both versions fit?

Frankie, you are quite right.
I noticed that too. It did cross my mind whether I got the wrong one, but the connector quite easily fitted into M10311 as well.
I think clarify this by sending a message to the seller, which one would be better and what's the difference between the two.
Let us know how it goes.

If you scroll down on the seller's listing, there is sending message option. See circled in yellow. They do respond, may be after a delay as different time zones.

I actually like the light output from the stock puddle lights. Wouldn't you lose some light using the protector logo type?

I mean If I drop something, I want to be able to see the floor, not a projected logo.

Had me worried for a second as I had ordered the M10316 version as well to see everyone posting that is was the M10311. When I had looked at images for the original part number, the M10316 looked the most similar so I had ordered that.

Having said that, I suspect the only difference as others have pointed out is simply the location of the connector (centre vs side) and it seems that the cable seems long enough either way.

@Frankie / Others - Could ask you how difficult the removal process was? Were the clips at the side edge (ie side facing into the vehicle)? That’s the only part I concerned about in terms of removal of the existing lights.

Will be trying my hand at the installation next week when I finally take delivery - car is currently being PPF’d at showroom.

Photo below of mine for reference:

it's not hard at all. If you have a plastic pry tool... insert an pry at the corners of the light, as you can see in you pic, the clips are at the edges. Its only pressure clipped in from the front...the back side is hooked.
so once you pry out the front, it just falls out.
putting them in is the same, hook the back in the space, and press the front in

as for these different models...maybe it matters for other cars, but there enough space in the bottom of the macan door that the socket being in the middle or the side doesn't matter.
if the connector is the same, it'll work i think. That being said, we have confirmed the 311 version works

It's funny to me that you guys are going out of your way to put in the logo projector lights. I have them from the factory only because my SA incorrectly INSISTED (against my skeptical questioning) that the only way to get ANY puddle lights was to get the Porsche projectors (I went so far as to say "I'm trusting you on this...").

I don't think the projectors are suitable for purpose (making the area under the door visible in the dark) and I certainly would not option them again knowing that the car comes standard with puddle lights.

Removing the existing lights is very easy. I use the tool in the photo for this. Insert it from above in the corners and then simply remove the light from the door. Then manually click it back in. It is really easy.

The puddle light I ordered came with a little screwdriver as well.
But I used a plastic pry tool I already had that came with Blackvue camera. It looks like the first one on the left, in the above picture.

That’s what I was told as well by my SA and seems like is correct for the Ice Macan (as far as I have read anyways I don’t know for a fact)

Could just be assumption on SA part that the ice and EV versions are the same which was why I was surprised by this thread

Thanks @Frankie & @krissrock for the advice - picked up my vehicle last evening and 1.5hrs later had done the following.

As previously confirmed, the M10316 in terms of connector position seems the same as the original lights (with the only difference with the M10311 being the position of the connector).

Super happy with the ease of installation and quality of the lights. For some reason (don’t know why) I was surprised that the bottom of door bin was also wrapped in leather so just had to be more mindful/careful not to scratch it when popping the old lights out - I found that removing the cover lens first then made removal of the original light much easier (for me).
