Update: the app now says manufacturing will be completed tomorrow. Has anyone had the manufacturing completion date shift on them?

Dates are estimations: they change quite a bit, in both directions.

Manufacturing supposedly began 2 days early for my 4S, according to the Porsche App. The app now says manufacturing should be complete by 2/11 (i.e. today).

It's +7 hours from here to Leipzig, so it's nearly not "today" over there anymore. Do the dates in the Porsche app actually mean anything, or are they just a gimmick to get me pumped up / nervous about when I'll get my 4S?

I found the dates to be very accurate, albeit with a spread for each ‘step’, although the earlier dates were achieved. The slightly frustrating time was when the car was in the destination port and the next step was delivered to dealers. This step includes customs clearance and awaiting transport which could mean waiting until there was a complete load of cars to that dealer. That step was initially reported as possibly being up to 9 days but I am only 4 hours drive time away. In the event, they were within 2 days of the earliest.

In my case, it has been within +/- a day or two. The app update and email usually came a day after the event, however. I am surprised how accurate my SA's delivery prediction was.

I don't expect to see another update in the app until Monday or Tuesday. Then hopefully it'll be on is way to the dealer. I guess it depends on how much prep (software updates?) they'll do at the port.

Well I somehow managed to delete the car from my account and can no longer track it, but it was still at Jaxport as of this evening. Probably for the best…my phone tells me my screen time has gone through the roof over the last two weeks, and I imagine vessel finder and the Porsche app were responsible for ~95% of that. I guess it’ll just be a nice little surprise whenever they get around to driving it up to Atlanta!

I was at the dealership to work on getting some service contracts for my old Cayenne cancelled/refunded, and would you look at what I spotted being parked out front! It literally just arrived so isn't ready for delivery yet (and my SA is on vacation this week lol), but I did get them to let me take a peek inside so I could validate my choice of blackberry on ice grey metallic. Can't wait to take her home!

Mine just got out of ceramic coating, still fresh and tacky, I saw it for a moment, dashcam yet to be installed for this Wednesday delivery. Software updates went smoothly, no hiccups whatsoever.

My car is built and confirmed earlier this week to be at Emden docks.
Dealer says expecting vehicle to be ready for mid March.
Having looked at https://www.marinetraffic.com I can see a ship has departed yesterday so fingers crossed it’s on that and arrives in Sheerness (Kent, UK) tomorrow.
Will need to clear the docks and get transported to dealer in Leeds.
Assuming a week to do that I see no reason that we couldn’t get an early March collection?
Maybe wishful thinking that it’s on the boat now?
Anyone else have experience of timings from Emden to UK, and consequent timescales to vehicle availability

Just checked the boat - it was supposed to depart early hours yesterday but seemingly hasn’t - have signed up for tracking notifications - will be disappointed if it’s not on this one but in my logical brain I can’t see a later boat meeting the timescales.
Also it would make sense for the factory to have batched together a load of right hand drive builds and utilised a single boat?

Darren & Matt - are you not getting updates from the App ? See earlier posts, the App dates were accurate for a couple of us Brits recently. In my case the car left Emden on the 4th and arrived at the local port the 7th. The date for ‘arrived at port’ is not when the ship arrives but when customs and acceptance have cleared. It took only 4 days to have ‘arrived at port’ and be delivered in Essex.

Good luck - if my timings are anything to go by the cars could be with the dealers for 1st March collection. Mine is sat at the dealers awaiting tracker, Gtechnique & dashcams and waiting as I bought a 25 plate.
