Yeah will be good to share and compare given all collecting around the same time! Been really helpful reading the experiences and getting insight from this forum whilst waiting although my wife is now fed up of me telling her new insights about the car! Also word of warning that one condition of us getting the car is we had to get it in the colour ‘Provence’! What colour did you both go for?

Oak green neo, Vesuvius grey offraid wheels, black side blades, black door handles, black mirrors, window surrounds and roof rails, gone chalk beige extended leather inside

Our test drive car was in Provence, but it paled in comparison to the one in Ice Grey in the showroom. So, the wife preferred Ice Grey.
Anyway, colour is always a personal choice. Best to view some colours in person.

I don’t mind the Provence but felt when I saw it in person that it wasn’t quite as good as it looks on the website but it was quite a cloudy/wet day so may look better in the sunlight! My favourite was actually the Ice Grey having seen that one in person, but also liking the oak green from the pics on this site - although just happy to have anything!

How long have people’s handovers lasted? Think I read something somewhere on here that around 2 hours was needed for a proper handover? Is that what people have experienced in practice?

I think it was no more than an hour in our case. They just show you the quick functions at that stage, to be able to drive away, and a deep dive into other functions was later on after a couple of weeks by a tech guy.

I have my handover this Saturday and the guy said he has 5 to do. He’s allowed 2 hours for each, but he gave me a manual and with all the videos I watched he’s hoping mine will be much shorter.

I said I wasn’t fussed about an ‘unvail’ and he said they would appreciate it if I allowed it as it will be the first 25 plate out of the dealers and I suspect they will video the first and last.. I explained I had one in a Merc’s and I found it very embarrassing as there were about 10 spectators in the showroom - he assures me they have a separate room from the showroom.

I told him I’d appreciate it more if they spent the time ensuring there was no gremlins in he software and he said point taken.

New England: build submitted mid-Nov. 2024; Macan 4 arrived at dealership mid-Feb. 2025. Not sure when the order made it to Germany, or when the build commenced, but three months or less from Germany to Massachusetts.

I know mine is black with a red/burgundy interior. I literally went to the website, looked at various options that I had on my previous cars, and clicked away. I sent the spec to the dealer and placed the order the next day. I'd have to have a look at what I spec'd up in the car. I know I had the air suspension and HUD, oh yes, and the additional passenger screen; I have no clue after that.

Just had a call. I'm booked in to collect at 3 pm on Saturday! The remaining deposit of £15,000 came down to £10,500 as my car went into production before a price rise. When they first gave me the order form to sign, I noticed they'd added a line item (I didn't know what it was). They'd accidentally added the ceramic coating, which I asked them to remove as my valeter looks after my cars. They've decided that as a gesture of goodwill, they are going to apply the ceramic coating to the interior and exterior of the car, register the warranty and provide the aftercare package, etc, free
All in all, I'm super happy!

From Emden to Benicia, generally a month. Depends on how busy the route is, especially in Panama.

For my Macan, it arrived at Emden on Feb 13. It just left there on Feb 25. My SA says probably late March for it to be at the dealer.

From Germany to Port Benicia (SF) took 1 month, and then holding at the port for another month.

From Emden to Benicia, generally a month. Depends on how busy the route is, especially in Panama.

It depends on where it’s going in the US. Mine through Panama Canal then up to San Diego. Left Emden Germany on 1/27 and got to San Diego on 2/23. There were no other port stops along the way. So nearly a month on the ship!

I think I’m in the same boat - literally. I received my notice this evening, final destination Monterey.

If you’re on the same boat, my SA confirmed mine is on the Crystal Ray. It did leave Emden then went to Bremerhaven and now back out to sea.
