I’m not handy enough to feel like I can do it myself lol! Let us know how it goes!
i've done a lot...and i've got damn near every tool one can think of.
appears to be nothing more than screws... the order is going to be the hard part.
I'll take plenty of pics when i get to it...

Can’t wait to see your ‘build’ photos and results @krissrock!

I suspect if it turns out as well as we all suspect, there’ll be a huge back order for the gloss black trim pieces. Having the smooth gloss trim opens up so many more possibilities (for non-turbo models) in terms of colour combos/wraps that can be applied versus the current textured pieces which you can’t really do anything with…

Having said that though, think I’ll have to sit on the side-lines for this as I have the off-road package. The Suncoast page states “…Fits 2025 or newer electric Macan models. Not compatible with Offroad Design Package” 😅

I would like to see how the colored fenders look...even in matching body color...But that would require a change in the rest of the panels, like the rear apron and the lower panels under the door...so may be someone with a turbo will try something out for us...

I know what you mean… it’s a literal rabbit-hole of additional parts to be changed…

Conceptually I’d also like to see what coloured fender arches would look like on the vehicle - but suspect it may also be a polarising love/hate thing.

Even just thinking about it, I’m not sure whether it would look ‘weird’ (off-putting?). But if the configurator has taught us anything (besides earning big bucks for Porsche), it’s that more options are always better and that Porsche is definitely unique in it’s ability to customise to the ‘masses’.

Like you said - the wait is on for a Turbo owner to step up to the mark.

so i was able to start this today. I finished one side and i'm going to do the other side tomorrow.
it was relatively easy. Nothing but torx screws and bolts. There wasn't much to see in there...but there were a few interesting items.

The front fender liner is attached with:
20 x T25 screws
3 x 10mm plastic bolts

the fender itself is held on with:
4 x T20 screws
4 x 10 mm plastic bolts

I wasn't sure why new fender liners were supplied, it appears that difference in size is made up by the cheaper felt liner, vs the plastic. The part numbers for the liners were different as well.

I removed the entire fender liner, and then removed the fenders.

this is starting. using the Powerflex jack pad. No issues with that.

The rear was a similar procedure, but ended up being a lil more difficult because of the fender liner bolts...

the rear Liner uses
11 x T25 screws
4 x 10mm plastic bolts

rear liner uses
3 T20 screws
2 10 mm plastic bolts

NOTE: that the wider fenders have different bolting mechanism. Instead of using the plastic bolts, the new wider fenders use ONLY screws! meaning reusing the hardware, you will be short 2 screws for each fender. I just happen to have similar hardware lying around.

interesting things i noticed:
inside the rear wheel well..once you take off the liner, the whole charging assembly is accessible. I didn't see any adjustment mechanism...however.
also inside the rear, these silver patches caught my eye...They appear to be just stuck on to the car...whatever these are, some of the corners weren't adhered anymore... i just them back down...but i'm very curious as to what their purpose is...

This is a very subtle change, and overall, i'm happy with the results. Kinda wish they were even wider!
But it's peculiar that porsche went this route. Why not just use the same wider fenders for all models. The different probably wouldn't have been noticed anyway.
Customers who don't opt for the 22's probably wouldn't have noticed the 20mm difference...or wouldn't have cared...or possibly, like myself, would end up with 22's later.

Man, thanks @krissrock for the breakdown and the great pics! 🏆Am sure this will help anyone looking to embark on the same retrofit!

But yes, I totally agree to your point that it’s curious why they went with two distinct fenders given the relatively minor change in tyre width - would have thought it would cost Porsche more in terms of producing two variants instead of just the one standard.

Looks like the silver material could be sound deadener (eg Dynamat)

The 21” and 22” tires are wider than the 20” wheel housing extensions and will protrude outside of the 20” ones which will affect the aesthetics of the car and possibly worsen the drag coefficient and range.

While these things may be true, the reason for the small extensions is because regulations do not permit wheels to extend beyond the edge of the bodywork.

all the more reason to just use the bigger ones for all...
