I have a phone case that is mag safe and works well with my home and other wireless chargers. However it doesn’t work on my Macan wireless charger. Anyone else encountered this issue? If so, what case do you recommend I buy? Appreciate your help.

I assume you tried it with the case removed, and it worked (I.e. you don't have wireless charging off in the PCM settings?). The only reason I ask is that the wireless charging worked even with my previous non-magsafe case (but I had to place the phone perfectly). Now that I have a magsafe case, it works reliably (well, 95%). (My magsafe case is from ENCASED.)

Thanks. Yes, it works well without the case.

Yes, I get the same issue.
Without MagSafe case, it works.

On a related note, I can’t figure out where the on screen (MMI) notification is, indicating that the phone is charging. I believe there is supposed to be one? Because of the position and angle of the wireless charging garage, you’re unable to see the screen of the phone to confirm whether it is actually charging.

Position matters. If you haven’t tried moving the phone left/right and waiting to see if the adjustment works, give that a go. I find I need to put mine towards the right side to work.
I center my iPhone 14 pro, with the top toward the left. I've found it's best to wait until the car reports Ready.

I am not aware of such a notification. I have only seen an indicator when displaying CarPlay. This is a minor frustration.

There's a notification in the "notification" section saying that the wireless charging is active. It turns on when you put the phone inside the "black hole"

I had to get a different case for my iPhone 15 Pro to get the wireless charging to work consistently.

The car that I owned before the Macan didn’t have wireless charging so I added a MagSafe charger from ProClip USA and a MagSafe-compatible case from Elago.

It seems that the magnets in the case caused connection problems in the charging compartment. I got a non-MagSafe case (also from Elago) and now my phone charges every time regardless of where in the compartment I put it.

It was the same with me, on my Samsung, so had to remove MagSafe case and got a non- MagSafe case.
Now it works.
