Reading the comments, some people say the Macan 4 is plenty fast acceleration-wise while others (myself included) crave the extra HP.

Got me wondering: is your current car also an EV or ICE?

Feel free to add details below!

Still own a Tesla M3 LR and tested a Taycan (since there's still no way to try a Macan 4) and found that the Model 3 got a bigger acceleration BUT after 90000 km I prefer to have a slower acceleration than the M3 but a better handling and interior look. IMHO

Which version of the Taycan did you test drive?

Makes sense, a 4S or GTS would better match the acceleration of the M3. With you on the interior looks and handling, 100%!

Ordered a Macan 4, drive a Taycan ST RWD now. The Taycan is my fist electric car and I bought it after a Macan 2.0. The Taycan was meant as a bridge to the electric Macan. I assumed 1 year, but that turned out to be at least 2 and with the delivery 3 years…

I'm completely convinced, electric driving is much nicer because you have instant torque. The only disadvantage of the Taycan is, considering the age of my wife and me, the low seating position. So: I was already planning to purchase it.

I'm disappointed with the depreciation on the Taycan. Given the amount I lost I would have been better off keeping my Macan and then I'd have a turbo now. Although, when I read and see the tests of the 4, I don't think I will be lacking anything. Therefore I have specked the rear wheel steering now. It may just be the fact and the knowledge that the extra power can, but doesn't have to…

Ordered a well equipped ice grey Macan 4, drove a Tesla P85 Model S for 8 years and drive a Rivian R1T currently. I know the Macan 4 won't have the same 0-60 acceleration in the 3's as those vehicles, but I'm very much looking forward to Porsche handling, fit & finish and the faster charging due to the 800-volt architecture. I expect it to be "fast enough"! September can't get here soon enough!

Since the Macan 4 will be my daily drive (3000km/month) I just hope that he has the same range as my current M3LR, even some kms less would be good since it's a "better" drive ;)
Still defining the specs (at the moment Volcano Grey, Leather Package in Black/Chalk and 21" Macan Design Wheels - Sport seats, Panoramic roof, Adaptive Air Suspension, Surround View with Active Parking Support, Porsche InnoDrive with Active Lane Keeping and since I'm a musician, Burmester High-End Surround Sound System). Let me know, based on your experience, if I should review something I chose , thanks

Your configuration is very similar to mine. I only chose the jet black metallic/ chalk beige combination. The expensive leather package with contrasting color stitching. No musician, so for me the Bose that I also have in my Taycan.

Perhaps a tip for you: rear-wheel steering. In the reviews and the videos on YouTube, everyone praised the extra agility. Certainly a must for the narrow Italian streets?
And for comfort, as I did, seat ventilation (Italian temperatures) and keyless entry?

This is an interesting one: every single dealer I talked to told me *not* to get the rear-axle steering, that it’s great if I want to autocross but on a “small” car like the Macan, totally not worth the money.

Boggles my mind 4 different salespeople are telling me not to spend that $2k.

My dealer experience was similar to yours.
