given testing I've done and others it appears Porsche is shorting us on the 11 kW onboard charger claimed in Standard equipment and the owner's manual.

My 2024 Macan Turbo does NOT in fact support 11 kW charging - I can not get it to exceed 40 amps (9.6 kW)…

this poll is to establish if _ANYONE_ world wide has seen their Macan charge at more than 9.6 kW reported inside the vehicle or externally on their EVSE

if not - Porsche is limiting Macan's to 40 amp or less max charge rate - either intentionally or unintentionally…

I'd love some data to see if anyone has this working "to spec".

I wonder whether it’s a problem with having the right owner’s manual for the region rather than a misrepresentation. When looking at the Technical Specs for the US and the ones listed on the Macan I ordered,

there are two specffication the one you're quoting and the "standard equipment" link in the configurator…

And the Owner's Manual I referenced was loaded for my car, on my app, in the U.S. I re-downloaded the owner's manual on a different device today and it says the same thing--including 11 kW in the charging chart. Note it doesn't ask which manual you want--it appears to download automatically. Now the manual in places implies it covers multiple countries, but there's no such proviso in the charging chart (the typical remark in the manual is something like "depending on the country," and that qualification is absent in the charging table.) In any case, if anyone outside North America reports a higher rate than 9.6 kW, then that will tell us something at least.

So, as of this writing, 3 people have chosen option #3; one is in San Francisco, one is in Poland, and one is in the UK. So c'mon folks, please provide details, including what kind of power you are getting (e.g. voltage, single phase or three phase) and what kind of EVSE you are using.

And please, to be crystal clear: the question relates to AC Level 2 charging, NOT to DC charging.

thank you thank you thank you!!! this is extremely useful!!! it proves the that some Macan 's can exceeed 9.5 kW!!

also it indicates the Macan reports close to "raw" input power - not the charge rate after losses (like the Taycan).

From the Netherlands, 3-phase, 25 amp and i'm seeing 10.8kw while charging.
Coming from a Tesla Wall Connector by the way.

At least UK side, anything over 7.2kW requires 3-Phase AC.
The car will always be capable of the stated maximum 11kW.
If your current charger cannot output 11kW AC then that’s more likely at fault, than the car.
I can charge the Macan at 11kW on a 3-Phase AC 22kW charger.
On Gen 1 Taycan with the optional 22kW on-board charger, the same system provided 22kW to the Taycan.
This is more likely to be a limitation of the electricity system in country and the variances of supply than the car.

@daveo4EV, I am fascinated by this.

Only if we can get anyone in the US to show us a 10.x+ screen then we may be onto something. I asked the dealer to give me one (Macan 4) so I can try it at home and report back here. I get the expected 10.x+ or so on the Taycan from a direct 60Amp input to Emporia with 48Amp output, so very curious what happens.

On the subject of whether the Macan shows gross power flow: I just tried the Macan on my 240 volt 16 amp EVSE. The Macan showed 3.8 kW (which would correspond to the maximum gross the EVSE should be able to supply. The EVSE itself displayed: 237 volts, 15.7 amps, 3.7 kW. Aside from the minor discrepancy, it is interesting that my car shows the full rated power on the 16 amp EVSE, but maxes out at showing 9.4 kW when supplied by my ChargePoint at 40, 44 and 48 amps. (Even at 40 amps, it should really be 9.6 if it is taking the full draw.)

Edit: on thinking about this a bit more: in the case of the 16 amp EVSE, the EVSE would be telling the Macan, "my max is 16 amps." If the Porsche power meter is anything like its speedometer, then maybe the Germans actually built in a little wiggle room there, so it doesn't over draw? (Meaning, it takes 3.7 kW when the limit is 3.8 by being a touch over optimistic--so the car says 3.8 when it's really taking 3.7?) Then again, that would be inconsistent with the conversations about the car taking 40.7 amps when it should be taking 40.
