If you have a heated windshield there will be an icon for it on the climate control panel.
Isn't it just the Max (front defroster) icon, which I would have thought would be there either way?If you have a heated windshield there will be an icon for it on the climate control panel.
That is my understanding as well and what I used when I cleared ice before. I will do some more digging around to see if there are any other bits of info on activation though.Isn't it just the Max (front defroster) icon, which I would have thought would be there either way?
I believe there should be a separate icon, I’m unable to verify this since my car is still a month away from delivery.Isn't it just the Max (front defroster) icon, which I would have thought would be there either way?
I assume it will be the same as ICE Macan - see videoI believe there should be a separate icon, I’m unable to verify this since my car is still a month away from delivery.
But the configurator says the heated windshield ”Provides quick and draft-free removal of condensation and frost from the windshield when the outside temperatures are cold.” If it’s tied to the defrost function it won’t be draft-free unless on vehicles with the heated windshield the fans don’t run.
Get well soonI'll take a look once I'm up from flu.
The GT Sport wheel does not block your view of the gauge clusterHere’s the configuration of my new Volcano Grey 4S with black interior:

Overall I’m happy with most of my choices including the color, partial leather package, 20” S wheels, Bose sound, etc. Especially glad I got the 4S since it has much quicker off-the-line acceleration than the 4 which I previously test drove.
The only items I might have changed include:
1) Switch from 14-way comfort seats with massage to 18-way sport seats with illuminated Porsche logo. The massage function makes the back of the seats a bit too firm for me.
2) Change color of seat belts and compass dial from Bordeaux Red to Ice Blue. The red color is a dark burgundy and ice blue would offer more contrast against the black seats.
3) Possibly switch from Standard to GT Sport steering wheel. I like the feel of the GT wheel in the loaner I’m driving, however I’m concerned that the smaller diameter might block the view of the digital speedometer (especially when using the view showing the speed at the top of the center console in the driver’s dashboard display).
Incidentally, so far I’m happy with the rear axle steering but haven’t had enough time to test this function. Also don’t think I’ll miss the rear windshield wiper since it looks better without it and might further reduce rear visibility, but could be useful in very snowy or rainy environments.
It just depends on where you set your seat and steering wheel. In my preferred position, the top of the dashboard display is nearly blocked so it would be slightly worse with the GT Sport wheel which has a smaller diameter. Not a big deal though and I would most likely order the GT wheel in the future. The GT Sport wheel does not block your view of the gauge cluster
i have the GT sport wheel and i found it blocks the top of the gauge cluster if i have it too low, so i ended up adjusting it higher than i would have liked. The GT Sport wheel does not block your view of the gauge cluster
I am 5’10” and seat is mid setting so of course the combo of adjustments may not work for everyone. You can try it out on a dealer demo first to be surei have the GT sport wheel and i found it blocks the top of the gauge cluster if i have it too low, so i ended up adjusting it higher than i would have liked.
I have the same wheel, and I'm 5’10” too, and visibility is fine or me.The GT Sport wheel does not block your view of the gauge cluster
I have never really driven shoeless but I can say that I love the stainless steel peddles enough to consider it . On a side note, I just got these and replaced the stock peddles and will say I like them much better because (1) they have better grip as they have rubberized strips instead of all hard plastic stock brake peddle which is a little more slippery and (2) you can see them in the wheel well as the well lights reflect off of the steel. They make the car look more premium and do not feel or look cheap (if you bother to look there ). Note that the brake peddle is an easy DYI but I needed the service guy to install the power peddle because it required some pry tools I did not have (oh and they did not charge me to install it). Also, the set was only $140 CND dollars so well worth it.I have the same wheel, and I'm 5’10” too, and visibility is fine or me.
By the way, do you drive with shoes off? Nothing wrong with it, some do. Just wondering.
