Hardware part only relates to preconditioning from app And not the other connectivity issues some people have been having
Got it. I can’t precondition the car at the moment, but I can’t do anything else either. Was all working fine but just stopped working last Thursday. Car still things it’s where we briefly stopped.

I’ve been reporting the app issue and I’m booked in at the dealership. So will see what that brings.

Last Thursday there were major problems across the board with the app... Those I think were solved over the weekend/begining this week. For me the only outstanding issue is the fact that the car images are not loading... Which Porsche confirmed to me to be an open issue still

It’s not fixed for me, but I am away from the car at the moment. So maybe when I get back on a direct connection/take it for a drive it may come back to life.

Ive at least got the appointment booked on my return should I need it.

So maybe when I get back on a direct connection/take it for a drive it may come back to life.
I have been wanting to always be able to precondition my car from the My Porsche App and I understand that the App sends/receive information to a Porsche Service (Server) via a phone's mobile or wireless (internet) communication and communication is made between this Service (thru' Vodafone) and the car's mobile link. More responsive might mean more opportunity to poll the Service.

I have noticed that the car is more responsive to requests when it wakes up. It is also possible for a phone to connect to one or both of the wireless services in the car e.g. _Macan or _Macan_5GHz once the car wakes up. My initial thought (not quite right) was that the car and phone communicate directly.

Each week, I leave a meeting around 6:30 in the evening and want to precondition my car before driving home. The precondition of the car doesn't work as I leave the meeting area, or when I approach the car but always work if the car becomes unlocked - I have comfort access. It's worth noting that mobile communication isn't the best and it suggests that either the car is struggling to make a mobile connection or that it can do so more often when it is awakened.

At home, I did experience the App not responding when inside the house, but would work when near the car. Since internet access at home is not normally in doubt, it suggests that the car is the weak link because the availability of the Service doesn't change too often. When thinking about a Service, you concentrate on the Server being up/available, but the link (provided by Vodafone) is also a factor in this succeeding - at home this isn't the best for coverage.

My car just regained all connections (Porsche connect, data pass and app connectivity) about half an hour ago!
No joy for me as of yet, per Account, Contact and Help, I’m still in North America. All access to UK charging network removed, still no images of car, just the silhouette….
