Looking for feedback on Turbo, would you buy again?

Had the opportunity to test drive a Macan Turbo today, very impressed with it. I sold my ‘23 Taycan CT 4S last October, and miss it. Question is for current Macan EV owners, would you buy again? What options are you mad you skipped? Lastly, is there enough rear seat leg room? I am 5’ 8”, my husband is 5’ 11” and we have tall kids (the 15 year old is already 5’ 9”), the kids managed in the Taycan ok, hoping for a bit more room in the Macan (it would not be used for road trips). Would be placing the order this coming fall or winter.

Hi, i’ve tested the Turbo and 4S. Love the extra horsepowers and handling of the Macan Turbo. The legroom in the backseat is not very impressive unfortunately. I am 194cm tall - headroom is ok, worse for the legs. Still - sold my Volvo XC90 and ordered the Macan Turbo to be delivered in may.

Is the quality different when going for full leather option?
I thought higher price was because you get more leather.
I've no personal experience of this, so it's good to know from those who have had both.

Only Club leather, I can imagine being different quality, though.

I would second this.... I don't have a turbo but a 4S. My only regret on my configuration was not getting the full leather package. I have the partial leather package one step up from the standard interior. It's not readily apparent from the configurator what really changes. I wish I had compared the two packages specifically in person at the dealer. I still love the car, but my only minor letdown. Personally, if I was trying to mitigate the cost, I would have downgraded from my 21 inch wheels back to 20s.

I love my Turbo, can’t think of anything I would rather have. It’s been trouble-free except for an annoying CarPlay connection problem that I was able to solve myself.

I had a friend who is 6’2” in the back and headroom was OK even with the panoramic sunroof that is standard in the US. Legroom could be better but really depends on how far back the front occupants move their seats.

My recommendation is to take the kids with you on a test drive to get their opinions.

US leather options.

We chose the Leather Package in Black/Chalk As it was the best color choice for us.

Leather interior in Black/Limestone with more leather surfaces would be our choice next time.

Club Leather is beautiful but not our color pallet.

This applies to the UK and the rest of Europe:

Standard
The only leather to be found is that of the steering wheel rim. Everything else is man-made leather/leatherette/sport-tex

Leather package
Real leather (smooth leather) over large parts of the interior (no fake leather at all)

Extended leather package
Even more real leather (smooth leather) over the interior

Club leather
Extra soft club leather in the same areas as "extended leather package.


This is all made very clear on the configurator.

I agree, take the kids. I think it might be the deal breaker. I hope not but I do not think I would relish a long drive in the backset. Love the car, just might not be right for larger kids/young adults.

I think the Macan should be viewed as being designed for family use so reflects either parents & children or just 2 adults, rather than a car regularly used with say 3 passengers.

Didn’t notice that, the original poster is from US. but good info for US. Thanks For the clarification. Edited my original post. Took me just a few minutes to post the examples from the US, configurator, perhaps you could do the same for the UK to help others visualize options in your region.

My comment was related US options, and that I would go up to the middle selection with extended leather. Club leather I have seen is beautiful, but not my color pallet.
