Have ordered a Macan GTS. Got a delivery slot for July from my dealership.

Before anyone tells me to get a panoramic roof: Tested seating in a Macan with and without and I'm too tall for a panoramic roof. Just not enough headspace. So won't get one.

Still not definitely decided on which wheels to get and if I should get the glossy sports design package. Haven't seen the mat sports design package of the GTS yet. I'm currently leaning towards changing to deleting the glossy sports design package and changing to the grey RS Spyder wheels.

I have a 4S in Aventurine Green. While I like the wheels I have, if I had a do-over, I’d get the 22” Exclusive Design Wheels painted high gloss black.

Those look good aswell. I have seen all wheels irl by now (not in every colourway, though). I basically like all of them except the 21" Turbo and 22" Exclusive with Carbon. But I also don't love any.

Will get the 21" Macan Design for winter tires.
Regarding the rest:
- 22" RS Spyer: Pro: Possibly the lightest (couldn't find weight data) and the only ones available in full black matching the GTS style, Con: higher price, probably the most difficult to keep clean and worst range
- 22" Macan Sport: Probably a good inbetween choice without pros and cons really
- 22" Macan Style: Look much better irl than in the configurator. Possibly among the heaviest wheels. Best Range but also bigger range difference summer to winter due to that.
- 22" Macan Exclusive: Probably also heavier but range not good, only good looking in black imho and therefor more expensive

No choice really screams "get me". Would have loved a full black 21" wheel.

Have my order demand in, hoping to get a June allocation, here is my Build Code: https://porsche-code.com/PTJ8GP26
One thing I’d want to double-check is whether the exterior mirror lower trim is finished in HGB. If it isn’t, I’d be tempted to option the mirrors in either exterior colour or HGB, just to keep everything cohesive and avoid introducing another trim element.

The High Gloss Black mirror base is supposed to be the standard equipment on the Turbo. I cannot see anywhere that the exterior package I chose changed that.

Looks almost like my order but you left out Drive Assist! I wouldn't get the car without this option.. especially for road trips it's super useful.
I have Innodrive on my Cayenne and have never used it, same with the full Highway Assist on my BMWs. I am fine with the ACC and driving myself, until we get full Level 5 autonomy, I don’t really trust it.

Okay, this is my second attempt at a GTS order after having to pull out from a first round allocation, fingers crossed this one works out okay!

This time around I’ve had a better opportunity to see various GTS configurations first hand and to drive a few too, so that has helped narrows things down to my liking.

https://porsche-code.com/PT211Q11

Order has gone in, have a couple of weeks max before spec freeze.

Would value opinions and images on silverside trim. I wanted to liven up the interior without going full GTS interior (same with crayon belts).

I was torn between ice, red, blue, slate grey, silver but have seen all in person on a GTS and kept coming back to ice as my preferred choice.

One point of contention on the build is the privacy glass vs thermally/noise ins glass with privacy. I originally opted for the latter but the dealer, who I have some history with and respect strongly suggests avoiding that option due mostly to how ’opaque’ it looks, that ~1% of buyers will go for that option and he’s known many to regret it. First I’ve heard of that argument against it, I mostly read about whether the noise insulation is worthwhile and potential phone signal loss, neither of which bothered me, I wanted it mostly for the thermal properties to be honest. I don’t really see what he’s concerned about in images/videos, and don’t have much chance to venture out again before spec locks down.

Any other advice from this helpful/insightful group, especially on a clash or option I’ve overlooked always appreciated, thanks!

I have the ‘glass’ and it doesn’t affect my iPhone reception nor is it any darker than normal privacy glass. I can’t confirm it is quieter as I haven’t driven a car without it. In my case, the tyre noise on the factory fit Bridgestones was too high so I switched to Pirelli Scorpion MS All seasons and much quieter, although you aren’t concerned about the acoustic. There was a suggestion the glass would affect the dashcams - not so in my case.

I would definitely have gone with the remote park but wasn’t available last year. I had it on my previous 4 cars and miss it - only used it very occasionally but when an inconsiderate selfish ‘person’ parked too close it was a godsend. There are good videos on YouTube showing how effective it is.

I went with the ventilated and massage seats - looking for more comfort. You might want to consider the ventilated seats as the advantage they bring in helping to increase range. In the relatively mild summer we have here in the UK I find with the seats on chill and the climate on Eco Plus it’s cool enough and the drop in range is only about 10 miles. I have a dodgy back so wouldn’t be without the lumbar massage !

Apologies. Just noticed you can’t option the ventilated seats as you’ve gone with the Race Tex.

I always opt for the thermal/acoustic glass and it is wonderful. Have had it on 2 Cayennes, my Taycan CT 4S and my Panamera GTS, wouldn't order a Porsche without it. I had zero issues with cell reception, RFID Toll tags or anything else. The sound deadening is worth the price alone. It is not opaque, not sure what sort of glass he is looking it, it does have a slight brownish tint to it. edit to add: I have it on my Macan Turbo order as well.

Thanks, I’ve asked to re-add it, also unsure what his main concern is - he mentioned it was harder to see out of the rear window (?), but I can’t say I’ve heard this kind of complaint anywhere else.

I even pointed them to the video on the car linked below, to say it looked okay, but he used the last shot where it pans down looking at the back seats as an example of how ‘bad’ it gets, again I don’t see anything of concern.

GTS with acoustic/thermal glass with privacy

The only reason I didn’t specify it originally was because I also have the pano roof and heard comments around the sound deadening not being as effective because more noise comes via the roof anyway, but I’m okay with that if true.

You’ll lose more vision whilst slow driving in rain as you can’t option a rear wiper with the glass. I didn’t want the wiper anyway and haven’t really regretted it - also I realised that the wiper would possibly cut the amount of vision even when not in use. That and I think it spoils the look of the rear of the car. It’s as is the the sales guy is on an incentive to not sell the expensive ‘glass’.

Spec looks good.

Personally would drop any ‘aero’ looking wheel for something more aggressive looking at the risk of economy. I’d also go for the extended Racetex. I went for extended leather after seeing those without it.

Uncomfortable rhetoric - Would I have missed something I didn’t really understand, possibly not. Would I have been really disappointed spending £100k on a car and it not be exactly how I wanted - yes.
