Well, you can always configure lower tier models to be more expensive than higher tiers. Really depends what options you prefer.
My 4S is specced with all tech extras and more expensive than a base turbo as well. But speccing the Turbo with all of my extras it ends up more expensive.

True, however you can’t even spec a turbo exactly like a GTS, or vice versa. You can get them close but you’d have to get PTS on the turbo for example.

from the extra bits in the Car & Driver article - it's clear the GTS is a "unique" combination of factors that you can't quite "option" your way into from a 4S or Turbo…this is expected and common for Porsche trim level…

I think the GTS is a great choice of trim level if you want the most sporty but don't want to splurge for the Turbo - and even then the Turbo can't be made quite as "sporty" nor the GTS quite as "lux"

If I was in the market for a Macan EV - 4S or GTS would be my personal "goto" trim levels…

anyone notice that the 360 View is now option? pretty sure that's standard on 4S/Turbo...

but anyway, the added power is nice, the different body panels are nice (i really like the rear) but i'm kinda disappointed that the added cost does NOT include that Racetex package.
That's a $6k addon...and It doesn't include that many colors...But i def woulda tried to get one...

I'm interested to see how the suspension differs....They state the swar bars are different, but with the lower ride ride height, i wonder if the shocks are different at all...

I won't discuss the aesthetic choices of this GTS (I prefer a more understated approach to the vehicle), but I think it's important to remember that the Macan is still an SUV. For someone like me who often travels to the Pyrenees, the loss of ground clearance seems quite problematic for a minimal gain in performance and a fairly significant loss of range. No, this model is definitely not for me.

Weirdly, there’s no pricing on the UK configurator, unlike other regions. (Though MY25 for the 4S 2026 isn’t on there either, so who knows…)

I just asked about the costs to switch my order from the 4S to the GTS and how it might affect lead times. I still don’t have a build slot for a 4S ordered mid-August, but the dealer suggested mid-Feb. So maybe ordering the GTS early could get some priority, and maybe some builds are being pushed to make room for the GTS.

I’m guessing it’s going to cost more than I want to spend, even if I lose a few options and benefit from the GTS bundled ones, but I’ll see what they say. Performance aside, I’m a massive fan of the GTS interior, which is why I’m considering switch.

you can't spec the Sport Tex interior pacakge. Not even on the Turbo

The possibility of Porsche bringing a Macan GTS Electric was precisely why I ordered and bought a Turbo instead of settling for a 4S..... yet now, I'm still tempted lol

probably won't happen though, since I really don't want to eat another EV depreciation like I did with the Taycan, so I guess choosing the Turbo will actually save me a lot of money after all
