Understood. But I believe. “Prevention is better than healing” not having to deal with a stolen car is better in the first place. I am glad it worked out for you so far. The issues with remote hacking were very real a few years ago and still are for older cars. However all modern remote access keys (including Porche) go to sleep after a minute of so of not moving and don’t broadcast a signal that canbe picked up. In addition they only work if signal is near car and will detect if there is a second signal from somewhere else. I’ve had them on last two cars with no problem. Wouldn’t be without it now.
A further thought. At least in UK EVs are not a target for thieves as they are too nervous they won’t be fully charged to allow a clear get away.
