Big update suspended?

For some weeks I have had my 4 booked in with the dealer for this coming Monday for what was supposed to be the big software update of all sorts of stuff. However, I have just got a message today that the “campaign has been suspended” so my booking is cancelled. Being a pessimist, or at the very least, a cynic, I assume that Porsche have discovered that their much promised update is as flawed and glitchy as the original software my car came with, but maybe some of you out there have some actual information on what’s going on. Unless, that is, I am the only one who has had their update suspended.

You are not the only one. The update did not fix as much as it should so they work on improving it.

I was having all sorts of software glitches which put warning indicators on the dash. I had the software update, and no problems since.

My major software was done about two weeks ago and the quite numberous little issues covering different systems have not once reappeared. The SM has personally contacted quite a few other Macan EV owners for the same update and when I was there, there were six others getting the same update, one getting a power charge port door fixed. [BTW, since my power charge door was fixed two months ago, it has worked flawlessly since compared to before then when hit-n-miss would have been a compliement to described its previous poor, very intermittent functions.}

I went today for other issues and they told me "cancel·lada, està creant més problemes dels que arregla" --> cancelled because was creating more new problems than the ones it had to solve.

Sorry to hear that for those waiting. Hopefully it would be fixed and re-issued soonest.

I'm not disputing that the update might create new problems for some given the vast number of different vehicle configurations and country-dependent requirements, but I've had the v28.13 update for about ten days now and haven't noticed any new issues.

I experienced one white warning message about driver assistance not being available while I was stopped at a light behind an SUV. It might have been triggered by the short distance between the two cars, traffic stopped suddenly on the other side of the intersection before the light had turned red and the SUV hit the brakes to avoid getting stranded in the intersection.

But errors and warnings were a very rare occurrence for me even before the update. I haven't really noticed any difference for better or for worse. If Porsche is really planning another update in January as has been reported, they may simply be trying to avoid unnecessary work and problems due to failed updates.

Mine was supposed to be collected tomorrow and returned on Friday after the update but just took a call saying it’s being delayed a few weeks whilst some tweaks to the update are performed.

I had my macan turbo last week for the big update. No errors since more than one week. Everything is working fine.

Seems mostly UK cars are being delayed.

I dropped my car off on Monday. Got a call today saying the update has been suspended. Pretty sure they suspended it in USA now too.

I'm in the bay area. Had my appointment today that I made several weeks ago for the software update. Upon dropoff I was informed it's currently suspended. I declined the seatbelt update, so my car will just have the trunk thing replaced.
