Dashcam installation issues -- fuse box location?

Good point I'd have to check, but iirc cigarette lighter connects to one of the fuse box, but since i found no ACC in any of the fuse boxes I am worried it might be the case.

That’s good to hear! I just had a Dashcam installed and noticed the recording is 24/7. Knowing that someone has had success is comforting! Do you have a link to the rennlist post?

My installer mentioned he has seen one macan ev that actually comes with the switched fuse, but most of them did not. So I guess there's something in the config that might change if it comes with it. (I did add the prewire option)

I'm going to assume it's in the back panels cuz the instructions prior to that only talk about removing the rear panels

possibly in the frunk area? it does say "front end".... IDK, its in the part of the instructions where you're in the back of the vehicle though...

True but they also tell you to verify the fuses in the "fuse holder for passenger compartment A-pillar on passenger". For that fuse box they are verify specific with the location.

In the picture I do see a hydraulic hose so I can see it being located somewhere in the frunk since a lot of the hydraulic pieces live there? Either way I don't have the car yet so I can't check =\

I forgot to update this thread, but I can also confirm that my Thinkware U3000, installed via the fuse box, works in parking mode. I'm using the iVolt external battery too. I asked my installer to share how he did it, without success so far.

Yes, will do as soon as I get my car back (in service to install a software update + winter tires).
