Macan EV in the top 10 of October sales in Europe

Quite impressive knowing the Macan MSRP vs the other models.

I was at my dealership yesterday and they had a lot in stock - all models - i could have walked away with a choice of car and no wait time.

Suspect the data reflects dealer stock.

Some bargains soon I expect once the dust has settled and these hit the 2nd hand market.

Selling new is relatively easy but 2nd hand not so much if the Taycan is anything to go by.

I can see the Macan EV rendering the Taycan more or less pointless given its "lower" price and offers plenty in the performance department too.

I could have got £20K off a new in stock Taycan 4S ST J1.2 due to a combination of Porsche and dealer incentives.

Needless to say i did neither as I was still reeling over the financial loss on my current GTS ST after 17 months.

911 now beckons (discount on a choice of stock cars to be had).

Lets see how demand keeps up when initial orders are delivered, that will be the true test.

OK but your remark implied to me that you doubted the numbers:

I’m pretty sure in januari the Macan will not be in the top 10 anymore …

This is normal : the vast majority of Macan EV that have been ordered since 01/2024 have been delivered in one month!
it doesn’t reflect the pace of the sells in one month… but the total selling figures of 6 months.

For instance, there were 90k units sold per year for the ICE version, sot less than 8k a month, and less than 1/2 in Europe.
so you see, even with the huge success of the ICE Macan, no more than 4k a month… Macan EV will probably never reach that, at least in Europe.

W1NGE I would be interested in which dealer. Mine has them going out as soon as they arrive and still quoting six months plus to order. They are one of biggest dealers too. I might give yours a call

We don't know nor do I trust the press much these days. Either way, sales are good (they always are on launch). EVs in general only accounted for 1 in 4 new car registrations in UK this year.

èMy dealer said that they are selling some pcs, surely more than Taycan (the one’s in the dealers have xtraordinary extra discounts) but they are very very far away with the ‘usual’ Macan selling numbers. Customers like the design the performance the interiors but the current restrictions for a total EV and the high selling price raised the deliveries for Panamera and cayenne hybrid considering that now the batteries on them gives at last 60/80 km…
can you imagine this EV Macan as a hybrid model?: they would sell tons of them.

I suspect this is coming and my dealer told me that a Panamera EV is likely too.

I would be surprised. Macao EV is a dedicated EV platform not designed for an ICE engine. My dealer says demand has gone crazy and no one is interested in the old version now.

I think I must have heard somewhere that Porsche's future plans probably will include a hybrid Macan however it won't be a reality until late 2027 at least.
