PS: Had a look through the Autotrader list of Macans and they are all 22” wheels. I can’t speak for anybody else but there isn’t a city or town in the UK with good enough roads to allow me to run low profile tyres like that. We have a Mini with those and we forever run through potholes and have to get new tyres at least once a year as a result of damage from potholes.
Also, if you spend this sort of money on a car you’ll want your own personal spec and not one picked by a dealer, in my view.
Better source is the main Porsche website - https://finder.porsche.com/gb/en-GB...category=macan-turbo-electric&order=price_asc - they are most certainly not all 22".

Many are demonstators, a few new and the rest pre-reg models. A bargain can be had and the model year won't change until this summer in case anyone is concerned about that.

Cheapest base Macan starts at £68,500 (£73,158 list price on configurator) and the most expensive (Macan Turbo) - £118,000 (£118,765 list price on the configurator), 10 miles on the clock.

I bought a Macan 4S in December 2024. Dealers had "liimited stock" to choose from. Porsche have a high finance rate of 10.9%. The Lexus RZ 450e was also available from "limited stock" at UK Lexus Dealers.

The Lexus has a finance rate of zero percent and a £4,500 contribution if you take PCP finance on the Lexus RZ 450e e.g., one month + repayments for 34 or 40 months.

For the Lexus, there. doesn't seem to be any incentive to buy it new but the low residual makes it interesting to buy at the end of the lease for a private buyer. With that kind of finance the PCP looks to be a good way to buy it. The stats on who buys the car will perhaps chalk it up as company owned.

You made a very wise choice when you went for the 4S and not the RZ.

When I was discussing selling my May 23 Takumi the sales guy who I have dealt with before, said Lexus would not buy my car unless it was a px specifically against a new RZ. The reason Lexus are subsidising finance and giving discounts is because the RZ is not selling. The local dealer has now taken the RZ out of the showroom as it was generating 0 sales.

I have taken a £ 34k hit getting rid of the RZ. Very comfortable car but a very poor EV. If I knew as much about EV’s when I bought it as I know now, I wouldn’t have gone near it as Its range means it is no better than a second car for local journeys. This time of year, at 70 mph on a motorway you would be very lucky to see a total of 150 miles - if you charged to 80% and didn't go below 20% then that is a range of 100 miles. The car does charge up to 150 kw / hr BUT the charging curve is abysmal. Also, the car prevents you from DC charging more than twice in a day - if charge to 100% each time from 20%, then that’s 75 minutes x 2 starting at 100%.

If you are looking for a very comfortable second car then as you say, the PCP and then purchase, is a good deal.

Apologies to all the Macan owners for taking this into Lexus territory but I thought it would be useful to see the very real difference between a bad EV (but good car) and what you have !
