Hey MTGBUK can you tell us if there are any PPF seams on the front bumper or did they manage to go a bulk install to skillfully avoid creating seems along the front? Ask this because if they use a template sometimes they have to seem together two pieces, in visible places which end up collecting dirt whereas if they do a bulk install, although it’s more difficult, they can do the entire bumper with one piece instead of multiple pieces.

Hope this goes some way to explaining. Front bumper is different and is 2 pieces on the Sport design/GTS.

It does I think. From what I understand the seam is hidden underneath the front lip (good). It looks like the rest is one piece (I hope). Usually when the digitization has been done, it’s available to all shops in the Porsche database so I was a little confused as to why an individual shop would need to digitize it to create a template but perhaps I misunderstood what was being said.

Available templates were only suitable for the Turbo, 4s and 4. There are considerable difference with the GTS meaning new templates were required. My car was kind of a guinea pig. Thankfully my detailer has a very good relationship with Suntek and was able to get them to out to create the new templates.

My PPF guy contacted me a couple of days ago to advise that templates are now available for the GTS. My car is booked in on Monday.

If he’s using Suntek I’m guessing the templates will be the ones create using my car.

That could well be! He’s going to make any pieces for me that are not in the templates file.
