Problems with Homelink Pairing to Garage Door Opener?

Has anyone else had problems pairing their garage door with Homelink on the Macan 4 EV? I follow the prompts on the screen but after synchronizing is ‘successful’ the garage door doors not operate from the mirror-mounted buttons. I have had no problems with Jaguar, BMW, even a Porsche 997.2, but this Macan refuses to pair. Any suggestions?

It took me 4-5 attempts. Finally worked. Was finicky even following the prompts.

The on screen instructions are wrong. Go to the video instruction section of the owners manual and follow those instructions instead.

On two different cars I found them incredibly helpful — getting me hooked up both times. But of course I do not know the brand of your garage door system.

The key step that was missing for me from the in-car instructions was after programming the Homelink button with the garage remote, you have to push the program button on your garage opener unit before proceeding to the next programming step in the car.

It took me several attempts. I was not successful in trying to make my car learn from the handheld transmitter. I needed to activate programming mode on my garage opener directly. It then worked instantly after switching to Default Mode (D-Mode) in the car.

i am having a problem with my electric gate. I can pair the remote with any of the buttons on the car‘s mirror using the home link on the car’s console (this is very easy). The button then works for 2-4 times then it doesn’t. I have put new batteries in the remote, tried different buttons, the gate is 10 years old and doesn’t have a rotating combination. Will have gate specialists come and let you know if they can fix it..

I also had issues. I found that bringing my car into the garage did the trick. I used the remote opener and held it up to the mirror.

That worked. As someone else posted, there is a separate step in the video that does not appear on the display. Thanks.

HomeLink works fine opening 2 garage doors programmed in (though must be much closer than in previous TeslaS & X and MachE owned), but must continuously press mirror buttons to close upon departure. So must trigger flashing light error until I clear the sensors as if I have to establish a connection to the opener. Does not work unless I go through that procedure. Anybody else experiencing something similar?
