In the almost 6 weeks that I have had my Macan 4 there has been a persistent vibration in the cabin that is coming from the road. This vibration is felt by my foot on the accelerator, by my hand on the center console, and it even rattles my coffee mug, there is no noticeable tire noise. I have 20 inch Pirelli Scorpion tires and air suspension. It seems to be a resonance between the tires and the road surface. On very smooth roads the vibration is non-existent. It occurs at most speeds but seems strongest between 20 and 40 mph. I have tried changing the tire air pressures, running them low and then high without any noticeable difference in vibration. I was hoping that after 2000 miles the tires might break-in and the vibration would stop, but no luck.

Has anyone else had this problem or heard of this happening? I love the car and am thinking a change in tires may be needed. Thoughts and suggestions are welcome.

Definitely not normal. Go to the dealer and ask a mechanic to drive along. Or got to a tire shop and explain the problem. Could be a defective tire or you might need wheel balancing or alignment.

I have a 4S with same 20" Pirelli tires (All Season) and have 0 vibration. Sounds like it might be an issue with your specific vehicle.

A tire might have thrown a balancing weight.

tire balance issue?
I was thinking the same thing. Have your tires rebalanced and alignment checked . A ride along with a technician will help confirm and correct

Years ago I had a new Perelli tire vibrate that came and went. Tire shop checked balance and then suspected a bad tire. One very cold morning it fixed itself. Guess was a belt a little out of place and it slipped back. Wore those tires out without another issue. So called road force balance can sometimes reveal a bad tire where a spin balance won't.

It is not a balance issue. It is a vibration felt at lower speeds not a shaking at high speeds. I will take it in and have a tech drive along. Thanks for your thoughts.

Ditto I insist every ne, replacement to my vehicles tire is road force balanced. However does the Porsche supplier to the factory do that?

Thank you PrudentOcean. I was most probably mistakenly assuming that as many U.S. OEM’s have an outside supplier put the tires on the wheels and ship them that way, that Porsche does it the same way.
