I supposed that’s good to hear … in that maybe there’s something wrong with my suspension and Porsche can address OR I just need to get all seasons …

For me it’s butter smooth when the road is smooth but any unevenness or bumps on the road causes the car to rock left and right. This is all on normal mode.

Out of curiosity what did the lotto yield you in terms of the brand of the 22”
Michelin all seasons. I must have missed selecting the sportier tires when I did my configuration, or perhaps I thought I might do a little off-roading which hasn’t happened. Very happy with this tire.

Side note: That is one great looking car thermacnut. Ever since they showed your exact wheels on a reveal Macan, they have such a strong pull every time I see them.

Thanks! Super happy with this spec and wheels. The Gloss black on the wheel accent really makes the wheel look thinner and lighter with the machined aluminum surface just catching your eye, and black part blends in.

We were playing around in the configurator the other night, with the silver accent and has a very different look for sure. One other member I think has the Frozen Blue Metalic with the color matched sections, and that really pops in a different way.

Can report that IMHO the Michelin Pilot A/S 22” I just test drove felt a bit more comfortable than the Goodyear Eagle F1 Summers 22” that I own.

This probably isn’t “news” to anyone I suppose but wanted to pass this off for those considering summers vs all seasons.

Is Turbo's PASM tuned differently than 4 / 4S? More stiffer on Turbo?
Looking at Porsche overview for each model, 4, 4S and Turbo all show same PASM hardware. 4S and Turbo show additionally PTV Plus. 4S and Turbo also adds Rear Axle Steering as an option.

Given the power difference, and items noted above I would say the Turbo is tuned differently. My config has Sport Chrono, and Rear Axle Steering.

In my personal experience, Turbo Sport and Sport Plus offer a step level up each time in how the car handles, and how the power is put to the ground.

The Turbo does not come with RAS, that's an option.
Edited my original post to show it optional (4S and Turbo). With it, as I have, I’m sure the programming is different then a Macan EV without.

Now where are the UK guys to tell us it’s different for them.

Adding to all my posts: “Valid for US configuration. Your region may be different“ 😜

I have been experimenting with PASM settings on my Turbo - just switching to Lower Level setting in Normal mode noticeably improved the ride quality for me(compared to Normal setting)

It's really disappointing that we can't permanently change the NORMAL configuration, and that the car doesn't remember the drive mode it was in during the previous drive cycle.
I almost never use the normal setting in my Turbo. I use the Sport setting with my daily driving settings adjusted, and Sport Plus with more aggressive settings for spirited driving. Quick twist of the knob on the steering wheel, and you are on your way. Off road setting good for clearance issue encounters. If I had to dig through a few screens to make these changes, that would be frustrating.

And/or that during the pre-delivery inspection that the Tech forgot to lower the much higher PSI that they put into tires for ship transport. I once took a test ride and rejected the WRX immeidatel, just several blocks away as it rode like the tires were filled with concrete.

Turned out the PSI was 12 higher than it should have been (again failure of a PDI Tech to lower it for street use). With the 12 PSi removed, it rode nicely firm — just the way I wanted. I bought it.
Just checked. My tires are +6 overinflated, 38->44 🤦‍♂️

I certainly don't mean to offend owners of the Macan EV with this post. It's a great car if you live on glassy roads.

I live in Denver and in this town we get potholes and the civic engineers put manhole covers in the part of the roads where your tire tracks, rather than the center of the lane where you would straddle it. (annoying)

...additionally they keep manhole covers 1-2" below the road surface so snow plows don't scrape them, which leaves obnoxious recessions for you to endure all day

I currently own a '23 Macan GTS (combustion) and placed an early blind order for a Macan EV 4S. Prior to receiving my order, the dealership began to receive models, and I was able to drive a Macan 4 (off-road wheel) and Macan Turbo (22"). In both cases the ride was so rigid that I inquired about the shipping pucks still being in place - they checked the cars and everything was PDI'd properly.

I went back out in the Macan 4 and just didn't like the rigid ride at all. If a pothole or manhole was hit just right, the car could do that 1-2" lateral kick with a very loud >bang< in the cabin. (in comfort mode).

I believe the ride is the result of a very heavy and rigid battery pack in a car with an air suspension that needs to be firm enough to remain agile even in the most supple setting.

That day after my 90 minute test drives, I drove home in my own Macan GTS and it felt like a Bentley in comparison. Regrettably I was forced to cancel my Macan EV order.

YT channel Autogefuhl (Thomas) discusses the extremely rigid ride in one of his review videos of the Macan EV. It's a thing.

Understand that the 22”’s provide a stiffer ride — and better handling! Just like every sports vehicle, the shorter the sidewall, the more aggressive the ride and the better it handles.

Try a 20” or 21” tire’d Macan if you value ride over handling. Many have done so and are very happy with these two tire sizes on their Macans.

I like my 22’s. Yes, it provides a precise ride, reflecting pavement surfaces more directly than the smaller diameter tire’s Macan EV’s do. But as always, we all have different priorities. My Macan with its center of gravity 1 1/4” lower than a 911 GT3 RS is my combined sports car wrapped in a cross over body. I however respect that others have and enjoy their Macan with their different selected 20” and 21” options, e.g., “your mileage may vary” or YMMV.

Sorry to hear that you didn't have a good experience. I live in Toronto where our potholed, frost-heaved, lack of civic funds roads are in terrible condition. Suffice to say that I was really worried about spec'ing the 22s for my Turbo last fall (but I couldn't fight my irrational love of the Macan Sport wheels). I ran the 21 inch Macan Turbo wheels through the winter and was surprised at how comfortable they were even at sub-zero temperatures. My 22's are now on for spring/summer and the ride comfort is still more than acceptable in the city. Yes I do feel the road imperfections but I never find the ride jarring and haven't experienced the banging that you describe. I spec'd the noise-insulated glass so maybe that contributes to sensation in the cabin.
