Since the last update my EV requires me to enter my 4 digit security code every time I start the car. This wasn't required before.
When I search the manual and the app I only see an option for updating/changing the security code. I don't see an option for "Save my security Code - don't ask for this every time I get in the car," or something similar. Any one else seeing this?

Is it related to your profile ?
There is a way to disable this code.
it’s in the car, but not sure where!
Try touching your name on the top of the PCM, you will find somewhere a menu to disable the code.
Not easy to find, as well as to remind, I’ve spent literally 1 hour to find the relevant menu!

To make worse, you can drive without enter the code, is only to access the personal account, it would bring more value if as other brands, the code works as a safety tool needed to start driving the car.

I think the ability to require the code is there in order to protect your data, for example when valet parking. But, as others have indicated, it can be turned off - I turned it on (inadvertently) and then back off again shortly after it was delivered to me, but like others, I'm not remembering the path for doing that in the PCM system. Probably settings>security or something?

To "switch off" the Porsche Macan's security code, you need to change or reset the security code in My Porsche and then perform a factory reset in the PCM. You'll also need to re-enable remote access authorization in the PCM and then pair the My Porsche app with your vehicle again.

Here's a more detailed breakdown:
  1. 1. Reset/Change the Security Code in My Porsche:
    • Log into your My Porsche account.
    • Access Profile Settings (usually by clicking the person icon).
    • Navigate to Login & Security.
    • Find the Security Code section and click on the link to change it.

    • Follow the prompts to reset or change your security code.
  2. 2. Perform a Factory Reset in the PCM:
    • The PCM (Porsche Communication Management) needs to be reset after changing the security code.

    • A factory reset will clear all personalized settings, including the new security code.

    • You'll need to log in again with your new security code after the reset.
  3. 3. Re-enable Remote Access and Re-pair:
    • Once the PCM is reset, you need to go back into the PCM and re-enable remote access authorization.

    • You'll then need to re-pair your My Porsche app with your vehicle
Umm I don't think you need to go to that extreme - see above.

Yeah, that's only required if you forgot / lose your PIN. If you have to reset the PIN without knowing the current one, then you need to factory reset in the car afterwards.

Thanks - this gets me a little closer but...when I click on "Add account" I hear a little click (the one that verifies you pushed the button) but nothing happens on the screen. The screen you show in the image above does not appear on my dash.

Your PCM updated over the air? What do you mean when you say "since the last update. . .?"

My car just spent a week in the shop getting the VR28.11 software update. The security code has been required every time I get in the car since. Porsche of America sent me instructions on how to avoid that but even their instructions ask me to click on an account tab that doesn't exist.
