Tire pressure ideal vs actual

The ideal tire pressure as shown on the door and owners manual is 46. However, in the display it shows current pressure at 46(ish) and there being a +7 deviation. Is there a way to change the ideal pressure in the computer?

The PCM will show you the recommended tire pressure for your specific tyre size/type. Even when adjusted to this there will be minor deviation day to day.
Mine was delivered with +4 deviation and the ride was rock hard. Have since adjusted to the PCM recommended pressure and the ride is now much better.

Yes, the card on the door doesn’t take into account tyre size and type. Seems like a ballpark general recommendation.

That will depend on the tire size and type.

all season. i know the sticker is on the door jam but I believe there are other optimal values...

The manual calls for 44psi front and back for partial load, 48psi for a full load.

Yes. And the pressures are for cold tires. If you drive the car the the pressure will go up a bit, that's normal -- don't let air out of your tires just because the TPMS system is reporting 50 psi after driving for an hour.

The tire pressure on the door is at full load, regardless of the vehicle. It will always be too high for partial load and rarely correct for best handling (normally much lower).

In my experience with five new Porsche cars and SUVs, the computer display will be your best guidance and display absolute or differential pressure. I personally have learned to use the differential display and usually like every tire to be -1 psi. I then check the tire pressure with a racing gauge and adjust the tire pressure up or down by the display differential reading. My wife easily detects more than a 1 psi change!

The computer display also changes with your load - especially useful in an SUV.
