I was just able to add my incoming 4S to the "My Porsche" app but I don't see where the tracking information is? Can you please indicate how to get there? TYNot to rain on your parade but keep in mind that the dates are a close approximation, but not exact. Also, the FYD notification in the Porsche’s app is usually a day or so off from the real date. For example, they notified me on 1/1/25 that the car had left the German port. The ship actually left on the evening of 12/30/24. And on the Porsche’s app it says that it left on 12/27/24 which is incorrect. In any case, the car usually gets to the dealership within the broad specified range and even earlier. The initial estimate given by my SA was at the end of February, then revised to the beginning of February, and most recently the week of 1/24/25, which is very exciting!!!.
Good luck to all!
I reached out to Porsche and they said Track Your Dream isn't available. I had to stay in communication with my SA to get updates on the vehicle progress. Can any other US bound owners confirm that their App does track progress like Wivenhoe shows? If so, did you get something from the dealer or some other method?
Sorry I'm confused by your earlier post which implies the app provides some tracking information. Does your app provide something and if so how did you get that part activated? It’s the same way in the US app version. Once you know the approximate date the car has been manufactured, you can google the VW shipping schedule to find out on which car carrier it will be shipped. Then google that ship’s schedule and you will know when it sailed and when did it arrive to the port.
I called Porsche and I must say not only were they not helpful but also very curt. First they said the comm# is not valid then they said Production has not added my vehicle to their system yet and that I need to wait for an email from them first. Our order was in Oct and delivery is estimated in March.Your dealer must add your order to your account and enable TYD. You then get an email from Porsche with a link that leads you through the verification process. TYD has been available in the US for orders placed mid November, prior to that you are out of luck. Sometime the Porsche server is slow or confused. Sometimes the dealer can't be bothered.
There are some countries where TYD is not available. Sometimes Porsche customer service will tell you TYD is not available in your country, when it actually is.
PS, they have been using other ships besides the VW ones, but all seem to be listed on vessel finder. The tracking sticky provides details.
