Couldn’t find anything on this but does the Macan 4 have soft close doors?

No, unfortunately. Guess the Macan is not premium enough.
I've never understood the point of soft close doors in cars. They're not like drawers where you can push them closed and then it slows them down / softens things.

For them to work, you have to do some weird maneuver where you very gently push the door against the frame but not too hard and then let the mechanism pull it fully closed. What is the point of this? Every time I've had a car with soft close doors, I've continued to close the doors like a normal person and the feature was pointless.

I thought the same until I specced and used them on a previous car.

Either you adjust how you close them or not.

I don’t like the slamming car door noise - the lack of noise signifies quality.

Very subjective, but to me it shows the Macan is the baby car and the Cayenne is the luxury model.

Every time I see and get into a new Cayenne in the dealership, I’m tempted to hold fire on the Macan EV and wait for the Cayenne EV (for lots of reasons, not soft doors!).

I need to get something in April 26 though as current lease ends then.

ooh soft close is definitely nice. You can basically let the door close under it's own weight, and not have to worry about it not closing "all the way" .... with soft close you know if will be grabbed and closed.
one of those things that makes me take a look at the Lucid again... Lucid's not only have more power, but lil luxury items like the soft close...

I had soft close doors on my 2021 Cayenne Coupe Hybrid. I loved them! I traded it in for a 2025 Macan Turbo. I find the doors to be very difficult to close and require a real strong pull. I wonder if the reason they do not offer them on the Macan is due to the frameless windows? Just speculation. Anyway I am a fan and would have included in my build if it was offered.

Not currently offered as an option on the Macan EV.

Same situation on the Taycan until the J1.2 facelift came along and it is now an option if not standard on certain models.

Nothing to do with the presence of frameless windows or not (Taycan has frameless windows).

Suspect it will feature in time - facelift perhaps in 2 years time.
