Insurance costs for your Macan EV?

Before I bought my macan 4 I called my auto insurance carrier and they told me would only be a little more than my 18. Well once they got new one in system it will be $1,500 a year more! Ouch. This is American family, a Midwest based company. $2,600 a year total. Lots of discounts. How does this compare to what you are paying? If better, would you mind sharing company?
