Maybe the Italians know something no one else does...hum I think maybe the software in this case may be more of an Art rather than a Science.Hi for what I know a couple hours.
They started to prepare the car on Thursday morning and I could have it delivered in the evening but I can’t be there. Friday at 9 I got delivery.Maybe the Italians know something no one else does...hum I think maybe the software in this case may be more of an Art rather than a Science.
Lucky you. I am in the first batch delivered to Western Canada (maybe the same batch for all Canadian dealerships). They got the cars last Friday and started tinkering with the software the following Monday (7th). I was to pick my car up Tuesday but they could not load the software properly. Going on day 2 so we shall see. They started to prepare the car on Thursday morning and I could have it delivered in the evening but I can’t be there. Friday at 9 I got delivery.

Even worse after all that wait I end up with more problems even with the controller replaced!!! Keeping fingers crossed.
From what I have been gathering or concluding from all online sources while I am painfully and patientlessly waiting for my turbo to have a controller replaced because of software update not going through. Car has been at dealership three weeks exactly today and god only knows how long more. Funny thing while I am typing this post I got a call from my dealer tech informing me the controller has been shipped and is on its way from Germany to the USA!!!
anyways I think there is a huge problem with some software update in so many or maybe most Macan ev first batch worldwide. Now is it purely software issues or combination soft and hardware god only knows. I just hope that whatever the issue is that Porsche and its techs figure it out and not ruin my first ever Porsche experience. I hope that the cars that managed to get the software update would not end up with problems because of the controller my car is waiting to have replaced. Even worse after all that wait I end up with more problems even with the controller replaced!!! Keeping fingers crossed.
My SA updates me daily on my car's progress. If I request additional updates, he responds within two hours. Before you think I had 10 Porsches, this one is my first one. I’m an Audi guy ;7 days ago I said to my dealership: I need reliable information(what is the exact problem, what are the actions that you carry out), what is the A plan (IMO a delivery with a validated timeframe), and in case of, what is the B plan (no idea of what it could be, let’s see their ideas) ?
And I‘ve waited, to see what will happen.
Now: not even a phone call or email.
What do you think I think?
I think that your SA had to change is job…Now: not even a phone call or email.

I think your car might be more IOR compared to mine. I think if the 4s was available when I placed my order I might have considered it but not sure I have the patience to have had to wait more for itWe're in the same boat; the only difference is that I have a under power Macan 4.

Anything over 4 seconds and I start yawning. I got spoiled I think. When I placed the order, the 4S wasn’t available, so I test drove the 4 and was pleased with the acceleration. At 4.9 seconds, it's quicker than my old A4 Quattro but slower than my SQ7, which does it in 3.8 seconds.
