Any idea on how to be in sport mode as initial setting from "engine" start instead of having to roll the mode knob from normal to sport?

Who's the dumbass that decided to make pushing the volume button just mute the music instead of pausing it? Is there any way to change this to pausing instead?

Yup! Got digging around and it seems it's by design from Google...

Audio
  • Audio ducking signal. Provides HAL with audio focus state and information on what output devices to duck.
  • Volume improvements. Enable for finer control of volume, including providing and API to get active volume groups.
  • Muting per volume group. Enable per volume group muting and enhance HAL and UI communication about the mute states.
  • AIDL migration for the AudioControl HAL. Migrated the AudioControl HAL from HIDL to AIDL to fully use AIDL functionality.
  • Power policy handling for Audio. Enabled power handling functionality for the car audio service, including disable and enable focus requests, and mute and unmute volume groups on power policy changes for audio.

man that really helps, thks!

You can share a destination from Google Maps to Porsche via the Share menu.

1. Google maps
2. Find a location
3. Tap share
4. Select My Porsche App
5. Send to vehicle

Porsche has (as Tesla) his own “map” in the app and also this one can be used to send a destination (it’s powered by Google) and a complete trip with more stops. If the charge it’s not enough it will suggest stops (with duration and charging points - IN and OUT).

You can set comfort access to unlock driver door only, entire driver side or all doors. If you prefer the more restrictive lock setting, you can double press the key fob unlock to unlock all doors also.

This may only be for 4 zone climate control only. You can use the climate menu to set the settings for the rear zones, touching the Rear tab.
Standard on all Porsches - same on my Taycan and Macan (and Panamera before that). 4-zone heating required to perform the rear and individual settings front / rear (as per Taycan and I guess other Porsches).

Not seen it yet for the Macan EV but the digital co-pilot exists for both the Taycan and Cayenne which should mirror many of the PCM features you have on the Macan EV for reference -

Has anyone tried assisted parking to see how it parks automatically?
Does anyone have a demo?

I’ve got the assisted parking to work 3 times after several attempts. I’ve struggled to figure out how it decides to detect a spot. When it does, it does a great job parking. But it’s pretty annoying to drive SLOWLY by an obvious spot and not have it recognized.

My SA sent me a video to watch to help me. But it’s for the Taycan and the Macan has different tech.

The other part I’ve asked for pointers on is how to get the parking assist to “take over” after I’ve started. I really want this to work as I’d love to start a parallel parking maneuver and let the car finish it. I just can’t figure out how to do it. Our dealer’s Porsche Pro has volunteered to come to our house to show us. When I learn more, I’ll post.

A member here did a video of how it works - and the thread title is VERY obvious if you search for it. 😛

Plus you posted in the thread yourself…

Quick question: why does my PCM look like this?

And your interface @nulled looks quite different (bigger tiles, customizable background). Am I missing a recent update?

Can you share your OS version. It's in Settings -> System. I wonder if they forgot to update yours or if Porsche are bringing the old UI back.

Thanks, I have the same build number, but the Android security patch level is from December 5, 2023 and the Android kernel is January 26, 2024. Other cars I’ve seen on the dealership floor had more recent dates on these lines, but that’s the only difference I could find.

So maybe I’m behind on the Android version, but it says there are no software updates available when I try from the PCM 🤷‍♂️
