My New 4S

Picked up my 4s at November 7th.
I've taken very short trips so far. I hope to do something longer in the coming weeks.

My Macan:
Volcano Grey Metallic with Exterior mirrors, Door release levers and Sideblades painted in Black

20-inch Macan S Wheels
Leather Package in Black
Comfort Seats front (14-way)
Panoramic roof system
Rear-Axle Steering
Adaptive air suspension
Matrix LED Headlights
Privacy glass
Surround View incl. Active Parking Support
Porsche InnoDrive with Active Lane Keeping

First little experience:
For reference, my last car was a BMW 530e.

On the uneven streets of my city, the car shows itself very well.
The rear axle steering really makes a difference. I can make much tighter turns
On the highway the innodrive system is really fantastic. Although it still had very few km, I drove a section of highway with it running and it behaved very well, both when cornering and keeping its distance from the car in front.

Sorry I don't have much feedback yet... Not much time to enjoy it yet.

Hopefully my 4S arrives at month end, I was so worried about the wheels but they look great and you can just see the red callipers !
I so wish I’d spec’d privacy glass now

I have a question regarding rear axle steering and winter conditions. Will it benefit also performance on ice and snow? Positive, negative or neutral vs. only front axle steering?

what is the "privacty glass" as this is standard on the US spec. Is thajust the rear window tint?
i'm pretty sure the Surround View is standard on the S as well? did you have to spec that?

Both privacy glass (dark tint to rear) and surround parking are options on UK spec

Wondering if you could comment on cabin noise levels - especially tire and wind noise. I assume you did not option thermally & noise insulated glass?

Yes. They are both options on the 4S
And the privacy is just the rear window tint

You are right, I don't have thermally & noise insulated glass .

For now, no complains on noise.

Congrats, @nalves! I have almost the exact same spec arriving in the U.S. in early December except that I added seat belts and compass dial in Bordeaux red. Looks great and glad to hear that you like the RAS and Innodrive which I was on the fence about when submitting my order.

You may have one the of the very first 4S deliveries! I’m interested to hear your thoughts about the 4S acceleration without using launch control. I test drove a 4 this weekend and hope the 4S has instant acceleration similar to my Tesla model Y (closer to the Macan Turbo) since the 4 had a much more gradual acceleration.
