Yea this was just silly. He put the biggest thing he could on the hitch and then acted shocked that range was poor. Between that and the comments, it seemed like yet another "i dont like ev's" channel/video

Though he had a fair point that charging stations today are poorly configured for trucks/suvs with trailers attached. Gas stations are somewhat better setup for this.

i think this will be the case/issue for stations until charging is as fast as filling up a gas tank.
they have to design the stations for ppl to stay for a while, and be out of the way...
whereas gas car with a hitch can block things up for 5 mins, and be gone

The hitch is intended for your bicycle carrier. Or something really small and light. And yes, Harry isn’t in favour of any EV so far, he needs to smell petrol of his Ferraris.

Yep, Harry hates EVs and he couldn’t resist plopping that ridiculous towing bit in the middle of the Macan EV review, which would have otherwise been positive. I used to love Harry, but he is increasingly coming across as a dinosaur.

IDK if feels quite balanced and overall positive. One thing I wonder is road noise - initial reviews were very optimistic, almost all reviewers praised the car for being very quiet inside. Some compared it to MB S class in this regard. After the launch it all changed 180deg with most reviews based on production cars talking about loud tire noise. And I have to admit the tire noise is significant. My version has the noise insulated glass and for low speeds and city driving it's great. On the highway however this is not a quiet car. Wonder if something changed along the way like Porsche removing some insulation to save weight?

That’s sad to hear. Figured the noise insulated glass would balance out thr 22 wheels …, might have to rethink that

Not sure there is something to rethink. Noise insulated glass is a must have and I doubt tire noise is much different between 22" and 21". It is what it is, you won't cancel tire noise with double glass but it helps a lot with other outside noise (passing cars, wind etc). Overall I'm surprised tires make this much noise but if you look at the spec NE0 tires or louder then others.

Reducing tire noise generally requires some combination of tire tread, tire rubber composition, sound deadening material in the wheel wells, and active noise cancellation. The first 2 you can improve by shopping. The 3rd one can be done after sale, but it's really hard. The 4th one generally can't be done after design because the microphones required need to be put into specific areas.
