got in my car this morning and was greeted with this message. Anyone else seen this? The car seems to drive, but not sure that’s advisable. Is it safe to drive? Waiting for my SA to call me back…

Yes it is. Everything in yellow or orang, you can drive. If red you better stop.

Had it once but it disappeared after closing and reopen the car. It was related to a voltage drop during the charging process in an hotel I spent the night. Never happened again.

Thanks, gents. I tried turning the car off and on a couple times, including getting out of the car, but the message persisted. I was able to drive it to the dealer (not too far), so we'll see what they say about it. Thanks for the quick replies.

Dealer finally came back with this note. They seem to think it’s due to my home charger not properly connecting to the car. I have a Gen 2 Tesla wall charger with the TeslaTap dongle. I do notice that the dongle sometimes pulls out of the cable slightly. I always make sure it’s in firmly, but it’s possible my wife did not. Something to keep an eye on.

“Drove vehicle into shop, no warning lights present. Performed pre val - found code B17E0F0 - Charging socket 2 (UX5), charging plug not locked as a current code. Charged vehicle and code became history code. Cleared it and charged vehicle a couple more times, no fault codes came back. Recommend making sure vehicle is fully plugged in with factory charger and customer hears click noise ensuring latch is secured. Monitor condition.”

Hi to All on this thread.

Came back from 3 day biz trip And was shocked by same alert Yesterday 9/May.

its at the Dealership under review/scan and will revert as soon as I hear back likely Monday 12/May.

If helpful/interested, I share some color below:

- Had charged the car to 100% (because upon return I was going to drive >150 mis) and wanted to arrive with plenty of charge left For return leg.
- Last charging session went smoothly; same charger in apartment building I’ve used since delivery. Unplugged and parked my car. No issues.
- After 3 days away, I opened the car seamlessly, the “motor” as usual automatically turned on, loaded bags and got in.
- as I closed the door, the dashboard went from all lit up and ready to go to dead. The car was off!?! I was surprised but didn’t initially worry.
- Pushed start button; car came back to life.
- suddenly the exact alarm as Henry’s pic appeared in orange in same location.
- As in Henry’s picture, the (!) exclamation point next to “drive” in lower left appeared.
- I went to the entertainment screen in the “!” Alerts section. The message stated same alert plus: “immediate service is require” .
- Below that, there’s an access button stating: “call roadside”, which would connect us directly to emergency road side to come get the car.
- I opted to call the dealer 1st, they are 20 miles from my apartment and on the road of my planned travel.
- kept car turned “on“ while parked and on the phone, Fearing I might not be able to restart it or open it should a flat bed tow trick be needed….
- Dealer asked message color, if ”red or white”.
- It was “orange “, so he told me it was safe to drive it there and I’d get a loaner while they ran scans.
- Appears orange alert is ok to drive. red or white no (??).
- While driving to dealer, it ran fine, but consumed battery charge at a faster rate than normal.

Other background info:
- Car is a 2024
- produced 1st week of commercial production (7/July/24).
- It’s had several software glitches. Each one resolved and has not had each failure/glitch since each respective incident was addressed by the dealership.

I Hear 2025 models have fewer issues and mostly no issues post delivery. 😉👍

I am convinced that by ordering mine to be made in the 1st commercial production run, I was asking for troubles/problems (most brands/models often have launch issue problems). My fault that I ended up among the unintentional fellow “Beta test users”.

Car now has 8k miles; delivered 16/Oct/2024.

It sat at US port before dealer received it, 3+ weeks beyond the required US approval of the model for US importation. Were there issues resolved by PCNA before delivering to the Dealer? 😳?

To be clear, Porsche is currently dealing with some other “recall” issues on other ICE models including 911. Some cars that left Plants are sitting at German export ports. Porsche is sending techs and spare parts to German ports vs bringing cars back to the factory for recall remediation, perhaps to save time and € costs incurred R/T to/from ports to factories and back.

Prior issues with my Macan 4 were severe. But, Each issue was resolved and car has been great on all levels including latest charges reaching 388 miles at 100% and 335/340 miles at 95%. 🙃🤩🫶

Drives great till this new alert 🥹🤨😅

Will update all when Dealer advises root cause and resolution.

I even had it in red, stept out of the car for 5 minutes and it drove afterwards without an issue, turned out to be the sound module that was defect and made other components throw up errors .. nothing to do with the HV system …

I’ve gotten that warning twice in the past two months. Went away on its own, as was the case with a few other warning messages.
