Active lane keeping assist hugs the right side of the North American lanes much more than I prefer and it seams I'm always fighting it around traffic. It seems to place the driver's seat right in the middle of the lane. instead of a bit to the left.

I think I read somewhere that the relative position is somewhat adjustable but can't find it. There are so many lane keep assist posts......

I have also never heard of this being adjustable.

In my opinion ALK / InnoDrive generally does a good job of keeping the vehicle centered in the lane. The biggest problem that I have noticed is that when there is an exit coming up and the right driving lane widens to accommodate the exit lane, ALK initially tries to keep the vehicle centered in what is turning into two separate lanes.

Yeah, the little disable/enable button at the end of the cruise control stalk is getting a workout. In my youth I would hug the right side until the day the car dropped off a curb and I rolled it.

What I seem to recall is after changing lanes and releasing the turn signal the Macan tracks that relative lane position ...

Just tried Innodrive today for the first time. I also felt that it was hugging the right side of the lane a bit. But never to a point I was concerned though.

On a related note, when Innodrive disengages, is there any feedback (acoustic or vibration) other than the green steering wheel Turing off?

I assumed there would be but in my use case today nothing happened. Of course I was paying attention as I should so it wasn’t a concern and I just took over the steering

Interesting, I have the feeling it is hugging the left line more than the right in Switzerland.

If you don’t respond the car will try to get your attention with warning messages and sounds, and even tug on your seatbelt to try to wake you up. If you still don’t take over driving the car will come to a safe stop with the hazard lights on.

Hello, there's been a discussion already on this and someone suggested there was a software update to fix this issue whereby after the update, the ALK is spot on centered in the lane.

as nice as it is, this is why i turn it off... It puts the car smack dab in the center of the lane, and I prefer to cheat away from other car, whichever side they're on.

nope no sound or warning. And I’ve found it to be extremely flaky during rain, disengaging on even the easiest roads, so have to be hyper vigilant cause it is constantly disengaging. I don’t use it in rainy conditions because of that.

I’ve also found the collision warning to be pretty quiet. I sometimes barely notice it over the music

Ah will definitely avoid using during rain then. Thanks!
