I have been using 3D MAXpider Kagu for the last serveral cars and I have found them to be the best I have ever purchased in 50 years of buying mats. They are custom fit, high sides but not the rubber like weatherTech. Honestly I strongly dislike them. These MAXpider are made of something that makes them so easy to wash but they do not look like cheap rubber mats. These fit even better than the WeatherTech imo. That said they are not available for the Macan EV's yet but will be eventually. I am waiting for them. I use them in my wife's Audi and I had them in a Tesla X and we love them fwiw.

3D MAXpider Kagu

Hi, I also had these on my previous car and loved them.

The current 2025 macan listing for their website doesn't distinguish between EV and ICE...

I called their customer service and they said the mats (both cargo and floor mats) fit both EV and ICE

not sure if i believe them or not -- does anyone know if the ICE and EV macans share the same floor shape?

i took a closer look at the ICE floor mats and they look pretty similar EV, but the cargo area definitely has a different shape. the EV cargo area is basically a quadrilateral with straight lines, the ICE has a bump about midway down, so i highly doubt the cargo liner will be a perfect fit

EDIT: they emailed me back saying the current mats are only for ICE, not EV

Not sure if others are aware, but if you purchase the mats from a local dealership, you can save on the shipping cost. For me, thats over $100 savings.

One dealership didn't have any in stock, luckily another dealership had the floor mats but cargo liner is on backorder until mid january.

picked up the floor mats today, they are currently off-gassing in my garage... they smell like horse manure lol. smell should go away in a couple days max

I had the MAXpider mats in my previous Tesla Y. They are very functional with deep lips but I don’t think they look as good as the Porsche all weather mats. I didn’t have any problem with the smell of the Porsche mats and had both the floor and trunk mats installed by my SA when I picked up the car.

If you live in heavy snow climates then I would consider Weathertech or MAXpider, otherwise I would highly recommend the Porsche OEM mats.

For those that got the Porsche’s rubber cargo liner, how satisfied are you? Is the quality acceptable? I bought the floor mats and I think they are okay. They are not as protective or conforming to the shape of the floor, specially on the driver’s side. The 3D mats and cargo liner look nicer but there is no estimate on when they will be available (not even at R&D point at this time). Weathertech appears to be close to releasing them. Do you think a weathertech cargo liner is an upgrade from the Porsche’s one? Not sure I prefer their floor mats over the Porsche’s…

I did buy it, like the floor mats it needed to be aired out also. Even though the cargo liner didn’t have any smell when I sniffed it (and the floor mats did), they ended up stinking up my car big time when I installed them overnight.

I dunno what you carry in your suv, but for my minimal groceries, occasional backpack/suitcase, etc, I think it does fine.

If you’re carrying buckets of manure or glitter powder, I think you’d still be fine? The coverage is pretty adequate and tight fitting, the height goes right up to the anchor rings so they’re still usable.

One thing to note is that it’s not easily removable. So if your under compartment isn’t taken up by a subwoofer, that area will not be easily accessible

I don’t usually carry any dirty stuff, mostly groceries (although I often use the frunk), small boxes, and suitcases. I like to protect the carpet in the cargo area so a rubber liner is a must. I think I’m going to order the Porsche’s for now. I will let it air out based on what you are telling me. I did that for the floor mats and it took a long time before the rubber odor faded. Thank you for taking the time to share your experience.

btdt with oem, weathertech, 3d, etc... but my favorite and what’s currently on all my cars are Tuxmat. Their mats have the most coverage and are the best looking (in my opinion). I don’t have my Macan yet, but I have emailed Tuxmat and they said don’t have one for the Macan EV yet but are looking to scan some vehicles and develop a set soon. So if you’re in the Toronto area and have a Macan EV, reach out to Tuxmat to have your vehicle scanned and perhaps you’ll get something in return.

I like Husky floor mats for my trucks, holds more slush than OEM style, flexible, non slip and not overkill like the hard weathertechs. If they offered them to fit a Macan, I'd buy them in an instant.

I’m a +1 for these 3D Mats (Kagu). Had/have these in in my cars and these do well to contain liquid spills plus general dirt - Plus I’m a general fan of the look.

Will definitely be waiting for these to be released for our vehicles.

I bought weather tech on my last car. They do fine for protection but after the first winter they looked horrible and nothing I did made them look good. Just caked with salt and dust, scrubbed and scrubbed and always had a dirty haze. I guess there is probably no way around that, there probably isn’t a mat that can take winter sludge for a season and then just rinse off like new.

The rubber floor mats I got from Porsche have been off-gassing in my basement for more than a month. They have a very strong smell that I can’t get stand if they were in the car. I really hope they finish off-gassing soon as I want to put them in this month.

I also have the luggage compartment liner and it has no smell at all, but does seem to be a slightly different material and less flexible.

Does anyone else with the Porsche rubber mats have the same off-gassing issue as me?
I have them and am very happy with the quality and feel. No off-gassing issue at all.
