I have a number of issues in favour of this decision:

- build quality interior - especially lower door covers (already pieces of material ripped and it turns out to be very thin film covering, i.e. the fake leather but its thinner than on a tesla, like 0.2mm film).
- some rattles here and there coming from god knows where
- passenger seat belt hitting against the B pillar
- quality of Bose speakers, compared to my previous Taycan and current Panamera its not even close
- doors not shutting properly unless slammed - all 4 of them. You need to really slam them hard for htem to properly close.
- now the charge port cover flap

The car is 4.5 months new and with 2650km on the odometer... what gives
Sounds like a terrible terrible car, agree you should sell it ASAP.
I'll give you 20k euros given all the issues it has, think it's pretty good seeing it rattles all around, has charging flaps that can't be opened, speakers are crap and let's not even talk about the build quality.

Afraid this thread is going to decrease your resell value as well? 😂 Sorry but it’s the truth (for me) and many members here share the opinion.

Meanwhile I pulled the trigger on a new refresh Taycan 4CT as a replacement, with a deferred guaranteed trade in valid up to delivery date, so while the offer is exciting I’ll have to pass 🥹

Until June it will be living with the terrible terrible Macan 🤩

can you post a video of your door issues? sounds a bit dramatic that you have to slam it closed. Please show us a video.

Well sounds like you wanted the Taycan but I would be curious to see a picture of the door material coming apart. Maybe its something I should protect. Also, you do know that you just need to move the seat belt clip higher to stop it from hitting the B pillar right?.

not sure if a video can capture this well. Let’s just say that on a BMW i4 M50 I had or iX3 you just slightly pull the door when sitting down (or push away when exiting) and it closes shut with a nice “thunk”. On the Macan you need to keep pulling / pushing the door in same motion until
It virtually hits the lock- and at times it’s still not sufficient. Will try to depict this

ps. We rented a Q6 etron in Norway last weekend and its doors are completely fine and feel nice and heavy when you are sitting down - slight pull and it shuts perfectly!

I can confirm the door issue. Same on mine… they showed me few Macans they all had the same closing ”style”. I rented a Q5 ICE few months ago and had no issues like this.

Sorry about your issues OP. Hope it gets sorted for good and you don't really end up selling your car.

And here I was thinking I'm taking a big risk by spec'ing the power-operated charge doors option, but I guess it seems both the manual and power versions are trash designs. So I actually feel much better about both charge door options being trash now... so that when I get stuck not being able to charge my car, I don't have to regretfully contemplate how I should've gone with the other option :)

wont sell it until June haha

It’s a very good car overall, very convenient (when things do work) and tech oriented - it’s an allrounder of sorts, like the Swiss Army knife. Just not the greatest Porsche.
If you get past these nuisances you will enjoy it a lot!

I picked up my 4S on Friday. Had to return to dealer on Monday to fix other things, and the dealer offered to charge my 4S: neither of the electric operated flaps would open — I’m glad it happened on his watch on this brand new 2 day old car. He took it out for a short drive around the block, came back and announced the flaps are now working. WTF really … well I cannot even verify if they open again as I had to leave my brand new car to fix another hardware fault at the dealer. A week later I still haven’t got my car back. WTF a new 2 day old car.

welcome to the club! Although I do sincerely hope that it gets fixed asap, should be just some minor stuff. In my case it was the mechanism itself - it just needed lubrication (and some lovin)

I had a problem with the rear left manual flap. Sometime it was just partially opening, few cm, and I had to force the opening, and I was hearing a very bad noise when doing it.
I brought the car to the dealer. He discovered that there was a small metallic cylinder into the small gap at the base of the flap. They think that it was probably a piece of a plug of a charger that fall inside. I'm not sure about... Anyway, problem solved!
