I use this adapter with a Tesla wall charger and it performs just fine. It does not get overheated and looks of decent quality. And it is cheaper than the Tesla tap. I am considering buying a Tesla Universal Wall Charger at some point. But so far the Lectron adapter is doing the job so there is no urgency. I wanted to post this so people don’t get discouraged of trying this adapter. But, either way it should be okay. That’s the one the dealer recommended

SuperTap is for Tesla Superchargers _ONLY_ - RTFMI just received my Tesla Tap (SuperTap), read the instructions, and plugged it into my Macan 4 EV and then plugged my Tesla Wall Charger cord into the adapter. I gave it about 30 seconds, but no charge. The Tesla wall charger showed green a few time and both the car and the wall charger made some clicking noises, but in the end, no charge. The Macan charge light never went green. I was a bit concerned, so I disconnected. Does anyone have any comments or suggestions? Thanks.
As stated by @MFitz, you've got the supercharger version instead of the home charger version. The home charger currently works. The supercharger version will not currently work for Macan EV customers on the Tesla supercharging network (DC fast chargers).I just received my Tesla Tap (SuperTap), read the instructions, and plugged it into my Macan 4 EV and then plugged my Tesla Wall Charger cord into the adapter. you'll be 100% fine…these adapters are not that "clever/smart/active"…Slightly off topic here. I don’t have my car yet but I have a Tesla mobile connector for free from my brother (I don’t own a Tesla or any other EV) and have it plugged into to a nema 14-30. I planned on just having the Teslatap mini permanently connected to the Tesla mobile connector so that I can plug daily to the Macan. Do you guys see any issues with this? Ie does the 30 second rule still apply if the Teslatap never comes off? Thanks
Thanks Dave! It was off of your advice that I went this route and found out my brother had one laying around. Porsche/audi quoted me something crazy for their nema 14-30 connector and on top of that it’s sold out globally (not the most common outlet) Saved me a pretty penny. Thanks again!you'll be 100% fine…these adapters are not that "clever/smart/active"…
this is a GREAT kit BTW - 100% un-necessary - but this kit will cover all North American NEMA Sockets - for less money than _ONE_ Porsche cable…Thanks Dave! If I buy the Tesla Universal WC....I don't need a 1772 adapter? It's a plug and play set up?I use this adapter with a Tesla wall charger and it performs just fine.
