Are these any good? I had the dashcam prep in my spec as standard so I am tempted if these are any good and work with the existing wiring?
People seem happy enough with them, however, if you are going to do a rear camera you have to run the wiring all the way back up to this camera.

Has anybody installed a fitcam on their Macan? Or know which model would work?

I got a reply from my detailer (who handled everything), the installer is on vacation 🙃 I'll ping them again next week.
Guess they never got back to you? Would love if you could ping them again when you get a chance as I've gotten nowhere myself. Thanks!

I’m also interested if anyone has installed the Blackvue DR970X-2CH Plus or LTE Plus to know if it works well on the Macan EV (e.g., Cloud viewing when parked and picture quality) and if it could be adapted to use the dashcam pre-wiring..

Does anyone know where the fuse box is in Macan EV Turbo? My dashcam installation guy could not locate it so I was told it is impossible to install it. Has anyone got it installed already? Please share your experience. Thanks.
I'm getting my Macan 4 in January and the company I work for usually get the dashcams and trackers fitted separately because it's generally much cheaper. However the Porsche SA here in the UK advised that this would invalidate the warranty on the vehicle.

this would invalidate the warranty on the vehicle.
IDK about UK, but generally this is not how it goes and is a common lie from dealerships or low information SA's.
the warranty isn't invalidated, but any issues that would fall under warranty, the dealer would have to prove the issue is caused by whatever you did/installed.
So if you're having a problem with the rear wiper blade, they can't say they wont fix it because you have a dashcam. They have to prove the dashcam broke the rear wiper....
which ain't a thing

To be truthful I was skeptical about this but our fleet manager decided to go with the Porsche
dashcam and tracker to alleviate any possible warranty issues/arguments going forward.

Yes, I agree, it sounds like a common lie from the dealership.
My dealership in London never said that to me when he said they can install the dashcam for me (Porsche one, obviously). But I said I prefer the other brands, and he said fine, get that installed.
The question of warranty never arose, otherwise he would have warned me.

the whole "it'll void your warranty" has been a thing since the rise of tuner cars... of course there are valid situations. But overall, you hear it applied to EVERYTHING and ANYTHING you could do to your car, and that's just not true.

An SA told me that putting aftermarket wheels on the car would void the warranty or dmg the car (i don't remember which he said) ... and i was like... "yeah ok...."

my SA told me as long as you have the harness pre installed (ordered) it is much harder for Porsche to make a case against any dashcam. they would now only have to find a way to prove you installed it wrong. BTW i am planning on the DR770x box version for my Turbo when it arrives. ( i just installed one on my e-tron) it is great to know you can access/see the car anytime you like. no 4k but at least 3ch.
