Macan EV Turbo build: anything missing?

it's over 5K and the difference in sound between the two was not noticable enough for me. I had this in my 911 carrera s.

I am on the fence about deleting it from my Turbo order and going with Bose. Can you elaborate more on why you feel this way? It would be helpful to me to hear.

At this level, spending another few grand isn't a big deal for me at least and I noticed that I didn't get the value from this as much as I thought I would have. In ICE cars I wanted to listen to the engine, in EV's I almost like hearing nothing!

Bose systems are not made equal on Porsche cars.

I tested a Macan 4 with Bose for a day and it sounded terrible, no matter the settings. I am not buying the break in excuse (actually think it will get worse in the long run) as right next I drove a 2024 and a 2025 brand new Taycans with Bose and both sounded amazing, to the point I would not recommend a BM on a Taycan.

The best thing is to listen to them side by side on your own, the problem is that you cannot find a Macan with a BM audio most likely, but you can find one with Bose. Find one, listen to XM, listen to HD radio, Online Radio, and bring some digital music of your own.

I have BM in the Taycan and while it is not a wow $5K better than Taycan Bose, but the Macan 4 Bose sounded unacceptable to me to be happy in a Macan Turbo especially. I would recommend stretching for a BM on Macan Turbo as there will be nothing worse than spending Macan Turbo money and then not being happy with the audio.

I found the Bose in the electric Macan excellent and a minor improvement to both my Taycan 4S and Taycan Turbo S (both Bose) as well as a Macan GTS loaner (bose) I had for 3 weeks. BM is really not worth the price, but if your budget is open it's an option.

Just make sure you spec insulated glass and 20" tires with BM or you will just lose any improvements to road & tire noise.

I'd also want to know what else wasn't included in on your turbo spec because the Burmeister would be at the bottom of my upgrade list compared to other upgrades that are considered "optional" even for highly spec'd cars.

I did not spring for insulated glass, did not know if the benefit was there. I did add the "off-road package" though because I think the back end looks more "finished" with the skid plate on the bottom.

the only substantial upgrades I did not get were HUD and rear wheel steering.

What is the reason for the Macan name being absent from the tailgate of the EV turbo? I specified "model designation delete" in my build, so there is only the Porsche brand lettering. I like the uncluttered appearance (without rear wiper) and no turbo designation but wonder why the Macan name is absent

Maybe this ownerasked and got their Porsche dealership to remove it, OR removed it themself? Doesn’t take but Goo Gone and fishing line and a few minutes…

This is a new standard on at least Taycan and Macan Turbos only to have a "turbo" designation on the back.

Model designation is "Macan Turbo" and not simply "Turbo".
