You could make the argument that "chalk" is not a color, it's the absence of color...
... you could, but you'd be wrong (if https://exoticcarcolors.com/car-color/chalk is to be believed): RGB(165,164,172). Not quite equal. Do I get a prize for pettifogging pedantry?

i'd rather have the eye tracking than reminder to put my hands back on the wheel every 5 seconds...at least the car would be able to see if i'm paying attention
There was a video of Out Of Spec Dave driving his Tesla vs wife’s Macan. He implied the Tesla eye monitor was too sensitive and looking away even briefly was problematic. He mentioned there is some kind of lock-out on the self driving if you looked away too often. Maybe a Tesla owner can comment. Pros and cons to each system.

Model 3 owner. The eye sensor is a lot less irksome than the old "apply a little torque to the wheel". I rarely engage "FSD" (funny definition of Full, Elon). But when I do, I can take in the scenery, face my passenger etc. I've never looked away long enough for it to trigger. The torque sensor would regularly get angry with me, even with a finger or two resting on the wheel.

There is a lock-out, but I think it's more likely to trigger if you're a YouTuber videoing yourself sat in the back for 50km than if for some reason you fail to look at the eye sensor often enough.

EDIT: side-note, for the people who were saying there are no worthwhile OTA upgrades on Teslas, this change from torque-sensing to eye-based was sent over last year I think. My car started with just torque-sensing, then an upgrade came over with "no sunglasses allowed". After a short while, another update came through where you could keep your sunnies on.

We have a 2025 Tesla Model X. The car can drive itself (FSD) with almost zero driver’s intervention. On the highway it stays at the selected speed unless it needs to decelerate based on the speed of the car ahead. It goes around traffic almost the same way I’ll do it, specially if set in “hurry” mode. For the most part, it stays in the left lane unless it senses that a car behind is approaching at a faster speed. It takes the exits appropriately and drives in city traffic without problems. I can basically set it to go to the destination and forget.
The eye monitoring system works just fine, even with sunglasses. It warns you to grab the steering wheel if you look away, but most of the time it’s not necessary if you look ahead promptly. But, grabbing the wheel to reengage it is not a big deal. The other day I drove from Athens, GA, to home in Atlanta (68 mile drive) and did not touch the steering wheel/accelerator/brake until I had to pull into my driveway.
I love and prefer driving my Macan 4S. However, I would certainly welcome any improvements to its software and driving safety!

I imagine there needs to be a fair number of non-Tesla NACS locations before most auto makers will put it on the cars. At least EA - does it make sense for VAG’s EVs to need adapters on VAG’s own network?

lots and lots of improvements via OTA updates with no charge…their software is continuously improving and adds useful features…

just one example:

shortly after I purchased my 2018 Model 3 Performance - they added "blind spot video feed" on the main screen when the blinker was turned on - this feature did not exist when I drove the car off the lot, and a few weeks later it got added for no additional charge - same with "dash cam features" - when car was purchased there was no dash cam capabilities - after I got an OTA update I then had dash cam capabilities from the suite of built in camera's

Tesla continuously and aggressively improves their product(s) and routinely deploys new features/capabilities and updates via frequent and effective OTA mechanisms…

I love Porsche and have my issues with Tesla - but software updates and continuously improvement they _ARE_ the industry leader!
ok, i had always the impression that those updates just deliver what was promised and payed for years ago..

You are not wrong. I know people who optioned their Teslas with the necessary and very expensive hardware for the promised FSD and didn’t have the cars anymore by the time the feature finally became available.

Concerning color choices the Chulk ("Crayon" in other configurators) didn't replace Papaya which was gone months ago,there's another quite popular color choice isn't available anymore... Copper Ruby Metallic is also gone.
First photo is from EU/Greek configurator,the second from US.
BTW the only color characterized by the complete absence of any color is Black.That's why it's RGB is 0,0,0.

Some may argue FSD is still not truly available, it’s Supervised as was added in the name years later.

I know we have some Chalk lovers here and glad for you, especially if you are about ready to order your 2026.

However I am in the tmrqs and others camp that Porsche is moving more and more to not bold colors, e.g., looking at the 13 available, we have black (2 forms), white (2 forms), grey (2 forms), chalk, and silver. Not sure where to place Frozen Blue and Aventurine (though both likeable imo) but the only bold ones I see are Gentian, Oak Green and Provence. Unless of course one wishes to spend over $13.6K.

IMO, hell yes for red, yellow, another orange, and similar to be part of a “2027 movement to bolder colors.”

Thank God Frozen Blue Metallic wasn't discontinued as well, really don't know what I would have done if it was!

There were, at least to me some disappointments for the 2026.

*No new color to replace Papaya;

*No new 21” wheel;

*No NACS port announced (at least not yet);

*No GTS version.

I am sure others of you have others things to add to this list…
And they seem to have dropped the Ruby Copper colour, which I had specified.

Just mentioned it some posts back,earlier today!Copper Ruby gone,Papaya also gone only to be replaced just by Chulk.Seems like they try to steer prospective buyers towards PTS.Every other Porsche model and especialy the Taycan has enormous color choices as well as 2 PTS options.Pretty unfair for the new Macan EV IMO.
