MY26 software update (week 36) for MY24-25

Just talked to my SA,he told me they don't have any onformation regarding the aformentioned update.However he confirmed there may be other dealerships already having such inside information while others won't.Also,when I asked him how much likely is such an update to be imminent without them having any relevant information 2-3 weeks ahead he confirmed it's higly likely to be the case as the same also happened several times in the past.
So,a negative answer from a dealership in regards to the (hopefully) incoming update certainly doesn't mean there isn't an update at all, they simply don't know it yet.And it seems most dealerships remain in the dark until even some days away from the official update release date.

Yeah,that is correct...Thing is some dealerships are more "insiders" than the others as obviously get the information from upstairs sooner than the rest!!

Or they're more happy to run with a rumour, or, heaven forbid, invent a rumour to get people off their backs /tin-foil-hat-mode.

Just a little update from my part. I've spoken to my dealer and they've said that he hasn't heard anything at all. He is hoping that it is week 44 (next week) as he promised, but as mentioned above they might get the information the same day it is released. But as he emphasized "Please, do not hope for next week". He also said that he could book in a slot so we can change our loaners tires to winter ones... Whatever that means, haha!

I am still waiting for Godot as well. Porsche didn't even bother to reply to my last email from Thursday morning. I like to think they have heard rumours as well and just sitting it out until it arrives. Porsche may be busy with Cayenne EV right now. If they get this wrong as well, they are a sitting duck. With Cayenne and Macan generating majority of profits (as far as I am aware), Manger reflex scaling down R&D and customer service to increase short gain profits may be next step.

Wouldn’t it make more sense if they simply shared an estimated release date for the update? When customers are kept informed, they’re far more likely to feel satisfied and willing to wait, rather than being left completely in the dark.

Exactly. This has been shown by multiple studies, in particular public transport. I guess they have no idea as software development depends on third parties as well.

What’s your opinion on the whole matter regarding the software, do you feel it will be released soon?

My opinion is that there is little to no chance to have something really new on our "old" Macans by the end of the year.
I'm not sure they are really interested in improving "old" products.

Moreover, due to their lack of talent to make software smoothly, I think they can't cope with multiple high skilled feature teams on several software versions.
They need to finalize the Cayenne EV version (after finalizing the 2026 macan version) so a new version for our "old" macans is probably not a huge concern.
Imagine, 18 months, and not a single improved feature, so many existing glitches and still big concerns with these red circle of death for particular cars.

My only hope is that they will find a way to solve the red circle of death which is ruining my life with this Macan. The main cause is probably a mix of software and specific hardware, that's why it's so hard to fix, even for a high skilled team (for sure, they are not...)
But I'm not confident at all.

Remind me, when did your red circle first appear? And yes, they don’t care. Only bad publicity will change their mind. Look at Volvo, could be worse. New 800 volt platform and chromatic roof after one model year only.

I’ve had a chromatic roof and much prefer the Porsche fully opening one With a blind. The Lexus roof defaulted to being ‘on’ so for 6 months of the year I had to turn it off whenever I got in the car to make the interior a little brighter.

Chromatic roofs do a terrible job of keeping light and heat out. I much prefer the retractable cover.
