Preconditioning Batter

My service manager advised me now into month 5 that the car does not precondition the battery to maximize the charge speed while navigating to EA chargers. Has anyone succeeded in this weather by having the battery at the maximum temperature to achieve fast charging?

Yeah I set the destination up and see my battery go from 2c to 20c at destination. It works fine just like the Taycan on that front.

add a destination close to the charger, and then add a battery stop to kick off the preheat.

You need to select a fast charger as destination, not an address close buy, it needs to be the charger, also it takes a long time, I had my battery at 4C and it took like 40 minutes of driving to get it up to a descent temp, that was not even the optimum

I agree, this needs a lot of refinement/work. Setting the destination of a charger doesn't make it clear that the battery heating process is underway. You have to just stare at the battery temp guage. Why can't there just be a button that says preheat battery to X or for X time?

There are 2 ways to do it, as others are suggesting.

Observer battery temp going up if preconditioning of the battery is working. You need to be in the optimal conditions below to get the fasters charging possible when you get to the charger.

1: Set Charger as Destination from the Charger tile of the Nav system

2. Set Destination as Favorite then 3-dots to select NearBy Charger search and then set it as a Stop over
