Coming from Tesla Model S.
With interest rates where they are at, and depreciation looming, I thought I'd try to do the "reasonable" config. Not too over the top, but not basic.
I found I definitely started more higher than not, but gradually really thought about things and got to a really great spot.
Here is where I wound up. And or course, it is not hard because even standard no options Macan EV is awesome.
(In USD and in North America)
Paint:
Hard one but wound up with Aventurine Green Metallic. Looking for something Porsche with some historical context but not too flashy, and this fits the bill.
Okay so not off to good start as this is the 2480 option.
Wheels:
Stuck with standard wheels. I actually really like the clean not too spoke-y look about them.
Interior:
Very hard one as I really like wrap around leather. But the leather package in black at 960 just really makes sense over the next level full at 3000, especially when it looks like you get the dashboard stitching without having to go full leather. So leather package in Black which goes well with green. (Of course the brown club goes the best with green but that's not this config)
Exterior:
Side Blades in Exterior Color - controversial but I had a suburu back in the day and any black plastic bits on car makes me think Subaru. Which is why I avoided the off road package too.
Roof rails - feel just looks better with them, in black for green. (I would have got silver if I had blue)
Trailer hitch - functional for bikes.
Interior:
Compass - I think this area needs some thing, and I didn't like just the second hand, and the Porsche nice clock was too much, and I really like the old school vibe of a good compass on the dash. Definitely like the altitude reading too for EV.
Sport Sound - ok, I'm totally of split minds on this one. Brain says dumb, heart says, boy that is fun. And Porsche actually did it correctly in that it doesn't sound like a car engine, but sounds like a really cool electric engine, that is just loud. So my brain can handle while my heart has fun.
Rear Wiper - in my area, very useful, but can see why people would like things more clean. I went for it.
InnoDrive - coming from Tesla S FSD this is a must. I'm hoping they keep on going with it and update to make it better.
115 power socket - just handy.
So that's it, came to 89k. That feels perfect. Especially with the 7500 credit if leasing.
Things I didn't get and why:
Parking assist and wrap around - just one of those things I have but never use so thought why not just skip it and cut to the chase of not using it.
Second display - Looks cool with all those screens, but like more the classic look. And also, see my passenger with iPad, and not using that screen.
HUD - very cool to try, recommend taking a test drive to check it out, but didn't like the big bump and rectangular hole it puts on dash to make it work. May be back when they hide it better to keep the lines.
Massage seats - tempting but wasn't sure about how much I would use. And it feels so, what, overly fancy? But I do understand that many people love these so wasn't an easy decision to forgo.
Vent seats - I do like these, but didn't like all the perforations it added to the seats. That's probably just me.
Rear wheel steering - tempting too, but seemed to add a layer of complexity to things, and it's fine, I'll K turn it.
Anyway, that's my reasonable config. If it helps others. As I spent way too much time obsessing over it.
Maybe after the lease, which I'll probably do to get the 7500, hope it doesn't go away, I'll go the other way and do a blown out config with all the deviated stitching and puddle lights and bespoke everything...
Looking forward to it.
EDIT
Some other things:
DIdn't do the BOSE sound because it takes up that well space. That well space is super user as I've found in Teslas. Would be nice if they found spot for woofer and amp that is not that spot.
Didn't do the electric opening charger plug because too slow and if iced harder to open. Best to keep that simple and fast.
And config:
