I don't think I'm the first person to mention this (I didn't find it in a quick search but I'm sure I read it somewhere), but, since this just happened to me, I thought I'd remind folks:

Be careful when washing the car! High-pressure spray can pop your frunk if you have that feature, and since it opens on its own once released, that might not be fun.

I know there's a setting somewhere to disable that, but it's buried and you have to remember. In my case, I was just hand-spraying the car and I knew what was up as soon as I heard the click and avoided water penetration, but not everyone will be so lucky.

This car really needs to have an easily accessible car wash mode.

Disable comfort opening on driver key fob - press lock and unlock simultaneously on the key fob to disable.

All comfort features will be temporarily disabled until the drivers key fob button (any) is pressed.

Lock the car and keep the keys inside the house or far away. Or place in a faraday pouch while being washed.
exactly right — I don’t know really what the issue is, just keep your key away from the car while washing, my Macan GTS and all other cars I owned in the past does the same thing.

Can this also happen in a car wash tunnel when sitting behind the wheel on "N" gear ?

You appear to be making the not-necessarily-valid assumption that the car is being washed somewhere that keeping the key away is convenient. Plus one needs to remember--hence, "reminder."

I don't recall any portal in my Macan GTS that would pop open like the EV frunk does.

The useful key fob two button suggestion wins the prize.

did you really try this tip to disable the comfort access? I mean , in a Macan EV…
I’ve tried weeks ago, and it didn’t do anything…
is there any mention of that in the manual?
