That lock date is helpful. Mine locked on 10/22 but I had been told it was going to be 10/25. I sent an email asking for a build change with the code and I was told on 10/23 that it had locked the day before so I could not make the change. Not a big deal, it was a small change. So based on your time line mine might be expected end of December but I was told it was Dec 20 but I am skeptical. Actually hoping for later since I have to be in Florida for 2 months about that exact time so I will have to make arrangements for them to store it or deliver to my house but I will not be home. I live in Michigan and it is on the other side of the state since my local Grand Rapids dealer was not easy to communicate with. I threw in the towel on them and started looking for a dealer that was more willing to communicate without pulling out all the information. Some of them act like you have know the secret handshake and I have no patience for that nonsense. It's a mass produced car for the most part and I think they sometimes want to treat it as an allocated 911. So far a good experience with my dealer, just wish I did not have to ask about timeline and had the ability to follow the build on the app. Can't wait to hear about your 4S when you have some time in it.

My 4S was ordered on 8/28 with a freeze date of 9/16. Production was completed on 10/24 and delivery in NC is expected on 11/22.

We’ll see if the delivery date holds given the software delays others have experienced with the 4 and Turbo.

Actually delays are a mix of software and electronics.
now, You can expect that the electronics will be ok directly from the factory, it will ease the delivery process.
On mine they‘ve changed at least 3 modules and the 3M tape into the electrical charging hatch.

Unfortunately I don’t know exactly when my VIN was available since I don’t get very frequent status updates from my SA. After asking for an update, I received my VIN on 10/14 but it could have been available much earlier.

New to the forum and looking to place an order in the coming months.

For those who are based in the US and placed the order recently, do you know how long is the wait from order to build to delivery?

Ordered 4S October 4, delivery slated for mid December.

Thanks to all your input, i went and test drove the Macan 4 today at the local dealer. It's a fairly base model w/ very few options (no HUD, RAS, InnovDrive) but was surprised by how quiet it was and it still put a smile on my face when going down the ramp.

I asked about placing an order, but they currently don't have any allocation for a Turbo, but more will be released next week. The SA estimated if I place order in Nov, build should start in Jan and delivery in Feb, they also asked for 10% refundable (required by CA law) deposit.

Do any of these seem reasonable to you?

(Edit: the order to build to delivery time estimate seems to align w/ the timeline shared by many here.)

Yes ! Would have been fun to meet you. We have taken delivery in Stuttgart, Leipzig, and PECATL. All have been great. PECATL the most friendly and the best instructor.

We expect it to take three weeks after visiting family & friends on the East coast and then zig-zagging our way across the US sightseeing.

Have driven 430 miles so far with two charging stops. Average consumption is 35.0 kWh / 100 miles (2.86 miles / kWh) with 500 lbs. of people & luggage, 65-80 degrees temperature, and little altitude change. Highway speeds were often 80+ mph coupled with stop & go traffic jams. Projected range is 2.86 mi/kWh x 95 kWh usable battery = 272 miles - Macan Turbo currently predicts 292 miles of range. Our Macan has 22” design wheels.

Our 2024 Macan Turbo Electric does not drive like our 2015 Macan Turbo or 2020 Taycan Turbo S - she has her own unique feel - not as planted as either one but more nimble than the 2015 Macan Turbo?? I think the 44 psi all-weather tires make the difference. Passing acceleration is similar to the Taycan - it was too easy to hit 103 mph passing a truck. Unexpected appreciation of the interior light strips - they are very effective at warning you of blind- spot traffic at night. Quieter than expected and a joy to drive.

Plug & Charge did not work at the first stop. Had to use Porsche Connect NA +1 (800) 767-7243 to get a charge and install the correct certificate. Second Plug & Charge was flawless, fast, and required no special attention to doors, windows, or status - set it to PARK and plugged in.

Arriving in port in 2 days. That was a long wait (ordered on launch day back in January)

Update:finally arrived in the port here today. SA says it’ll take at least a week before they get it in their showroom as all the updates and changes will be done in an off-site workshop in an industrial zone.

I hope to get the car in the weekend of Nov.9. Already have made an appointment with one of the best detailing workshops here in Dubai for tinting, PPF and coating:

After two months of sitting at the Port of Baltimore, the 2024 Macan Turbo EV I ordered in March was finally released to the dealer today. After thinking about how badly Porsche handled this rollout and not feeling comfortable with the dealer's answers to my questions, I asked for my deposit back. I still plan to buy a Macan EV, but I will wait for 2025 in hopes that Porsche can get its act together.
