tommjw - the main thing now is to ensure the cars are registered before 1st April. I expect them to change the exemption from the ‘expensive car supplement tax’ some time in the future but at least now we should avoid a total £2k over the next 5 years.

Finally got my allocation last week! Order placed, freeze date 1/14, expected delivery end of March. The waiting game starts.

Got an update today on mine

order placed 29th November
Locked into production 9th Jan
Start build 24th Jan
Finish build 30th Jan
Shipped to dealer ready for 1st March

What model did you order if you don’t mind me asking, your dates look very similar to mine and I’m in the UK also awaiting my 4S.

According to the App - The car was ordered on 31st Oct. Just after Xmas I ordered a 4 and was told earliest would be late April but would probably be May / June. Sales guy called on the 6th Jan and said they had a 4S allocation free as a client had cancelled and Then said if I upgraded to a 4S then the car would be delivered in March. I signed the final spec and order on the same day.

Car appeared in the App almost Immediately and the dates have remained the same since. I was told there is a backlog developing for the 4 but much better for the 4S. The cost to upgrade wasn’t as much as I thought it would be, as options like the air suspension aren’t as much on the S.

I ordered a 4S, with a few thousands in options but not loads.
Mine is also through salary sacrifice. Not sure if that impacts it in any way

4S w 22's.... configured this past Saturday and my lock in date is tomorrow! Delivery date is March 28.

For those with cars in the Wolfsburg The carrier just left the port of Halifax and is to arrive at Jacksonville on 1/19/25.

My 4s completed production today, a couple days early. But then it looks like it will just miss the ship to Davisville, RI and the next boat isn't scheduled until mid February . Hopefully it will sneak onto another boat and get here sooner, otherwise it will be another six weeks waiting.

Not to rain on your parade but keep in mind that the dates are a close approximation, but not exact. Also, the FYD notification in the Porsche’s app is usually a day or so off from the real date. For example, they notified me on 1/1/25 that the car had left the German port. The ship actually left on the evening of 12/30/24. And on the Porsche’s app it says that it left on 12/27/24 which is incorrect. In any case, the car usually gets to the dealership within the broad specified range and even earlier. The initial estimate given by my SA was at the end of February, then revised to the beginning of February, and most recently the week of 1/24/25, which is very exciting!!!.
