Hey guys, quick update.
The car has been back in the shop for another two months due to three recurring issues. During this time, they also replaced the high-voltage battery charger (the unit under the rear seat that charges the car, not sure the exact name). I took delivery again two days ago, but returned it within 15 hours because yet another issue appeared. So it’s back in the shop once again.
Lease or not, I’ve spoken with Porsche Finance (Volkswagen Finance). They told me they would step aside and issue a refund (minus the cost of "use") if I take the case to court. According to them, my dispute is strictly with the dealer, and they’re not concerned with what happens to the dealership.
I’m currently waiting on an offer from the dealer. If it’s not acceptable, I’ll take them to court.
And by the way, don’t feel bad about taking your car in for warranty work. I’ve learned that dealers make very good money servicing cars under warranty.
Happy driving!
