I love the way it is now. My previous EV had one pedal driving, but was never a fan of it.

I think you’ll always have an option but right now too many drivers are driving one pedal and getting used to it. so eventually Porsche will need to address.

I see it like a mode, just like sport.

You can set to none, some, and one pedal depending on how you like to drive or how you are driving at the time.

maybe sport plus only allows brake only to please the Porsche purists.?

I think Porsche has a few other software glitches to fix before they spend any money on one pedal nonsense. More folks are turned off by one pedal than embrace it, but choices are nice, just not as free as one may expect. Don't get me started on more self driving functions .

Translation for sure. US manual calls it Thrust Recuperation as well as On/Off, see bottom right A icon with a circle arrow in the second image.

I loved the coast when I first got my car. But I switched the regen on one day and actually got used to it. To be fair I typically dont drive more than 20 miles out and mostly city streets.

Yah definitely language thing and yes confusing generally speaking.

My only logical thought is that Porsche is trying to differentiate the regeneration that is available from releasing the accelerator (right) pedal (hence “thrust regeneration” that is available if toggled on) and the regeneration coming from the brake (left) pedal (hence “brake regeneration” that is available at all times).

Never mind the wording, Porsche should correct it. But more interestingly, it would be nice to know if everybody who is interested in doing a comparable test to really get to the bottom of this … almost 6% more efficient is nothing to sneeze at …

He is referencing a section of road He drove with regen on verse off. It is being treated as factual yet the test was not scientific or shown to be reputable from what I understand. My experience with the car seems to indicate if he were to run the test 100 more times the difference in efficiency between the two would become negligible.

Hence my question, I also mentioned this was not meant to be scientific, but it definitely changes the tuning of the electronics …
So if we can gather more data we could put this to rest or conclude that there is more loss when switching between power/regen all the time
