Electric looks pretty good to me, glad I went that way now. Getting the manual flap replaced and colour matched will not be that much fun.

It probably takes 2 minutes. If this is a widespread part problem, as it seems to be, they'll just paint a bunch at the factory and distribute them as needed to be swapped out.

Seriously though, I just saw a Macan with a manual cover flap at the dealership and it was perfect. Must be a faulty batch.

Mine aren't great on both sides

The electric flaps aren’t perfectly flush with the body. It seems they don’t quite follow the natural curvature of the car’s design and appear slightly flatter. This is particularly noticeable when observing reflections, especially on darker-colored cars.

My caps are also both misaligned. Not damaged. Guessing it was a whole batch of the arm mechanism. Dealership is looking into it.

Panamera Frank may well be onto sometihing, that the arm itself might be the source of the problem on at least some.

Yes, definitely as Porsche Solihull fobbed me off and said they could not do anything and other Macan’s with manual flaps are similar. I have emailed Porsche UK

FWIW, my dealer has ordered a new charger flap door assembly to address the issue on my 4S.
